I got a question about crafting a Musket, if it's possible at all? I'm trying to find a way to create a rifle looking like the Avenger's Rifle received by engineers during the first story quests. Another rifle like that can be bought as Aureate Musket for karma and it looks like this:

http://wiki.guildwar.../Aureate_Musket

What makes me wonder is also the fact that since level 75 of huntsman, the Soft Rifle Stock becomes available as a component of crafted rifles and it looks exactly like the one on the above mentioned rifle:

http://wiki.guildwar...oft_Rifle_Stock

I'm still learning about how it all works with crafting, so any hints will be much appreciated.

as huntsman is my only craft I don't have at 400, I'm not familiar with the skins it brings for greens/yellows at different levels, so I'm not sure if the skin is craftable.  IIRC though you can buy that skin off the tp for a reasonably low number of silvers.

Can you please explain me how skin works, like how are they usually called or how to find them? Or do you mean that item allowing to transfer the stats of one weapon to another for the look.

Basically, the Aureate Musket is found as random drops from mobs, and people often put them to the Trading Post to sell them. You can buy a low-level/cheap version from the Trading Post and then transmute the looks into a higher-levelled rifle, with the type of transmutation stone needed depending on the level of the weapons involved, regular stones are good for weapons of lvl 1-79, and fine transmutation stones for lvl 80 items.

I see, thank you very much! So these stones can be bought on the trading post or only for the gems in the official store? Or maybe some way to get them with karma?

So in general there is no recipe allowing to craft a rifle that just looks like that musket? This is what I need to find out.

you would get transmutation stones from the gem store, zone completion, daily and monthly rewards, and I think some personal story quests.  as far as I know, no crafting recipe for that exact skin exists.

however, the bandit musket skin is similar to the one you posted, and is crafted with soft wood and iron.  You have to be level 125 in huntsman to craft it, and would need to buy the inscription recipe from the master huntsman where ever you craft for karma.

If you want to get three basic transmutation stones fast, just do map completion on any major city. All city completions reward three stones.
