WvW rating is being reset on Friday

In your fantasy world known as real life to most, I will say any person(s) I've conversed with really enjoy the server. But there are a few, shall we say, "events" that are frowned upon. Personally I could care less. It's the lemmings here that just get so bent out of shape because they can't handle. Oh god, they may have to actually pay this time to transfer. With these new ratings, it should make it easier to find that next bandwagon.

When the idea of going to JQ was presented to us, a lot of us were appalled. JQ and SBI were not friends by any stretch of the imagination. But this is getting a little ahead of ourselves. I'll go ahead and tell you why we didn't go where and try and keep it as linear as possible. The fact is, JQ was the very last place we even discussed. I am not going to apologize at all if I offend anyone or their server. I am just calling it like I see it. There are SF members that are on this forum including our leader. If you know anything about our guild, you should know that we have no problem calling each other out for liars and *s. Either way this goes, you can be sure that when Jed reads this and i am lying, he will call me out publicly and probably give me an assripping in mumble.
First off, we ruled out all servers that didn't have a strong current wvw population. SBI was trying to get it's shit together. It was difficult to do with a highly populated server that lacked interest in wvw. Jed in particular went to other servers forums looking to plug the gap where WM was. You would have thought a bunch of hardline Christians were witnessing the trial of Jesus Christ. The mods on the IOJ forums specifically acted like he walked into their houses and was walking out with their TV, wife and daughter right after he too a large steamer on the carpet. It was very apparent that nobody was going to come to SBI. We are talking late November that this effort was started. The majority of people in SF did not want to be in any sort of "server building" effort. We were also looking for somewhere to go which provided an environment in which we were not being called to every map simultaneously. In other words, a server with an established wvw community yet actually had a slot we could fit in and do our thing.
SoS - You were ruled out automatically. You were the #1 server and from our point of view, you had enough numbers to easily beat both JQ and SBI combined. Yeah there was a weak spot but it was not in our main time period. Come to find out now, guilds were putting in crazy hours to keep their record. Funny how this directly affected our decision. Had you been playing in your "comfort zone", (I lack another way of putting it.) Our choice may have been different. You guys would have been open for discussion anyway.
SoR - You guys actually won one of the polls. You beat out JQ and Kaineng. In fact, you Beat JQ by over 2x as many votes. So why didn't we go there? These guys gave us the impression that we could only come over in limited numbers. So, they wanted us but they wanted us to break our guild up and cheery pick who was going to stay in the guild. I get it though. You guys want to limit how bad your ques would get it's understandable. I'm mostly pointing this out because I have seen several, "Why didn't you people go to...." posts. At least you guys were straightforward about it and didn't bullshit us.
Kaineng - Short and sweet. Is WM gonna quit the server if they face SoS and get a lot of shittalk thrown there way? How many guilds are going to follow if they do? Sounds like setting up for the same debacle on SBI. It was a close vote but SoR won the vote minimally.
Blackgate - This is going to totally offend you guys. There is only one way to put this without this post getting deleted by mods. Remember the Orbs? A lot of people on SBI including SF remember. It is the main reason why the idea was a no go. Sorry. People didn't outright say it in these words but, we didn't want to be a part of that gaming community. My personal opinion, when all that was going down and it was apparent nothing could be done, I would have left. Unfortunate for you guys, the orbs were removed so there is no way anyone is going to know if the bad apples were taken care of.
TC - You guys got a couple votes. I think it was only because the majority of SF doesn't RP. The people that are in SF that rarely do wvw don't RP. It's not necessarily a bad thing just not our cup of tea.
All other servers except JQ were ruled out because of our lack of desire to build a community. Hell staying on SBI was even an option that had some good traction.
I guess my point is that maybe people should be less eager to their knee jerk reactions of saying others are going where they can get easy wins and more eager to make their server more inticing. A lot of people went where they did because they made an informed decision. Other people probably did just go where they saw an easy win. I highly doubt the people that did just follow the win have the balls to admit it in public.
Thanks for clearing that up. I'm surprised that SoR decided to be jerks about it, but I guess they are reaping that crop right now.
I'll lay off on the drama, I honestly thought there were better relations between the large groups on SBI and JQ than you would expect (long time opponents and all that).
Either way, the fights are still awesome, and that's all I really want out of WvW; but you'll understand if I don't wish you the best of luck LOL.

Oh well, now I'll just have to live with finding my SF/RAGE friends in the BL and fight you.

It really is a shame you didn't come to SoR. Love it here.
