The biggest issue with culling is the portal exploiting, and for me it seems like an exploit because your using the buggy culling as a way to have an advantage over your enemy team.
Portal bombing is a valid tactic....portal bombing knowing your zerg won't come up on the enemy's screen so they all die without even a single fight.....to me thats an exploit / bug.
Its a valid tactic and got nothing aganst it, I would use it too, just the problem is culling makes it impossible to counter or fight against and is an instant "I WIN" button for the enemy that uses it.
Yup. To me, it's at best cowardly, at worst cheating.
But have hope, we have been countering it for months now. It takes some getting used to but it goes something like this..
If you know they're here somewhere and it's too quiet, look at the ground.
Look for the pink circle. It doesn't cull. It's always there just before the bomb.
Drop all AoE conditions, fears, and boon strippers right on the circle.
And the instant portal bomb killer: Feedback. ANYTHING that sends the enemy's own damage back at them will make this tactic a pile of red bodies. Anything left, if feared and conditioned, will be at 1/10 health and out of player control.
It's a pain, but we can stop it.
I long for the day when we can see it coming though!
