So who else is really excited for this game? I think it's going to be the next big thing for me along with TLoU and Beyond Two Souls. PS3 is on fire this year.
(directly taken from the internet)
The game takes place in a fantasy world where vast labyrinths and catacombs lie beneath civilization. Magic-users seeking a legendary treasure known as the "Dragon's Crown" have used their sorcery to link each of the ruins together in order to search for it, which they plan to use for a sinister purpose. Players must take up the role of one of six adventurers to keep the crown out of their hands, as well as search for treasure of their own.
The class system is divided into six playable classes which are detailed below. Developers claim that you can create a very "unique character" as your character will be very customizable. The title features branching paths in every level which are traveled based on the player's decisions during gameplay, such as choosing to steal an item from a boss character, running instead of engaging an enemy, or searching for secrets, which will lead to alternate areas.
The game features an online mode over Sony's PSN which allows up to 4 players to experience the game simultaneously. When a player's character runs out of lives during online play, another player may gather their bones to trade into special merchant characters who can bring that character back as an AI-controlled partner. Players may also communicate using an in-game pop-up system which can quickly convey simple messages such as "thank you" to another person. PS3 and Vita players can crossplay, between platforms in the online mode, and both games will feel identical in terms of graphics, framerate, etc.
An expert in battle, outfitted with full-plate armor and a sturdy shield. Boasting the stoutest defence of all classes, their shields can guard all allies in the nearby area.
Their one-handed weapons have little reach, but they can swing them in the blink of an eye, slicing through nearby foes like a tornado.
This god-like speed overwhelms enemies even in bare-handed combat. Easy to use for beginners, they are the keystone for any party, boasting reliable skill in all categories.
Fearless warriors who know no fear as they effortlessly wield their two-handed weapons. Their massive equipment delivers slow, blunt blows that deal lethal damage to multiple foes at once. Lightly armored, they are agile fighters who rely on punishing kicks when unarmed.
Their speed and attack power grow with every enemy they slice and dice, but their defense is weak. Overall, a technical class suited for action gamers and those who value offense above all else.
A long-lived forest race, often much older than they would seem to human eyes. While delicate and weak of muscle, they are master of the bow and arrow, using their superior athletic skill to fight fearlessly from a distance.
They also wield a variety of special skills, making them all-around assets who can respond nimbly to any situation. A tricky class to wield, they are best for those who enjoy taking the time to learn all their idiosyncrasies.
Stocky fighters whose uscular frames permit them to wield a weapon in each hand. Their strength lets them pick up and throw anything in sight, even heavy foes.
Throwing enemies lets them damage multiple foes with one fling, laying waste to an entire horde of adversaries. However, their legs are slow and they are easily outfoxed and surrounded.
Their low defences also makes fighting skill very important for this intermediate class, good for those who like throwing their weight around.
Male magicians who have a wealth of magic at their beck and call. Unable to reist monsters by force, they instead rely on the astonishing effects of their spells, all vital assets for any adventure.
Their incantations can lay waste to large swaths of land, but casting them takes time and consumes a great deal of magic power. They deliver the most punishing attacks of any class, making them the main arsenal of the party.
Bewitching women with knowledge of dark magic. They are weak of body, but the great knowledge they wield of the evil arts cannot be ignored.
While not as powerful on offense as wizards, sorceresses can craft lifesaving potions, control golems and skeletons, and even turn great foes into harmless frogs.
A jack-of-all-trades support class, they can provide aid to their friends in countless ways.
