3 things I would like to see in WvW

1. Bring back Orbs
I kind of miss the Orb rushes, and the strategic aspects that the Orbs brought into otherwise bland maps.
Instead of buffs, though, simply make possession of the orbs +10 PPT. Still worth fighting over, for sure, but the orb will not determine the outcome of the fight.
If we can make the altars unhackable, or eliminate the need to destroy them, the Orb mechanic would make borderlands much more fun to play in.
2. Do something about defending from walls!
It is so much easier to attack from below, players and siege on walls, than it is to defend from walls. (obstructed, obstructed, obstructed).
That is not the way fortifications are supposed to work. GET RID OF THE OBSTRUCTIONS for people trying to defend, and make it harder to attack things from below.
If this were the way fortifications worked, noone would actually build them. It's stupid.
If necessary, get rid of the terrain aspects that block line of sight, and replace it with defensive buffs for anyone inside.
It is ridiculous to be standing on a wall, the enemy is unloading on you, and you have to find just the right magic spot to get a line of sight, when your screen is filled with red targets.
3. Make ballista ground targeted!
These things completely suck at hitting moving targets. If you hit something, you do lots of damage to lots of people.....but if your target is moving, it is like the bolt just vanishes into thin air.
A ballista shot should land somewhere, wherever you were aiming it. It shouldn't just disappear.
This would also solve the problem of trying to find a rabbit to shoot at just to refresh the rot timer.
These are the only siege that require a target to shoot, and they are terrible at hitting anything that isn't posing for you.
Just make them ground targeted like everything else.

I would love to see the orbs again. i MISS orb rushes on reset. borderlands are lackluster without them.
one suggestion someone posted a long time ago was to make the orb only "removable" after the keep flipped. that way you couldn't solo steal the orbs(or hack the altar) because the keep lord is a champion surrounded by veterans and can't be solo-ed and even hard for a 5 man team to take down in any reasonable amount of time.
2. defending towers/keeps
i've always thought the fortified isn't enough of an upgrade. i would like to see the actual structure change its outside appearance. if you hit max upgrades in a tower or keep it would be nice to have like arrow cart holes at gates/walls with refreshing arrow cart build sites(like the cannons/oil/mortar) that make it really hard to kill those arrow carts and the user can be relatively safe while defending their fortified tower/keep. fortified should be revamped. additionally reinforced walls(tier 2) could have better ledges on the edge that can help you defend your tower from within in it or use siege without gettting aoe'd to death.

Two things I would like are
1. trebs to be more damaging to players, maybe by 25% more, keep the rest of the damage the same, it would make them a bit more like artillery then.
2. No more siege deployed in safe zones.

One thing KnT has been trying to do is use mortars and trebs like artillery to augment our field battles. It just sounds awesome to me

I do agree that it should be easier to hit people from ontop of walls, as the attackers can just drop AOE on the wall face and have it curl over the top. Maybe put crenelations along the wall that defenders could shoot through, and that you can't be yanked through. Or maybe make that an upgrade.
Of course defenders have the luxury of popping out, smashing sieges, and running inside to heal and wait for cooldowns.
I will say, enough arrowcarts will stop any front door attack in its tracks.

Bring back orbs.
Make cannons more usefull, the only cannons that are currently of any use are the cannons on Garrison, over looking water gate, and the third floor SM cannons. Eles still exploit the SM cannons, so they may need to be moved.
When the guard level is upgraded the keep lord and supervisor level needs to upgrade.
It needs to be easier to defend from the walls than it is to attack the walls.

but they main thing I would like too see is the nerf to stealth. If you are in an attack zone of a player and attack all stealth in that zone should be unavailable for the entire attack. if you want to go be a spotter or hide in a keep sure keep the stealth up, but not be able to do it in a fight after you tag someone.

you just took away half of the strategy involved with thieves. Their mechanics work far more with stealth than simply backstabbing after a Steal + CandD... Culling is a huge problem and they are working to fix it, but taking away combat stealth removes entire escape and disengage mechanisms. Guess we should get rid of all invuln and channeled block skills like warrior shield #5 too because they don't let you hit a person? You can still damage, cc, and kill a stealthed person, they just tend to prey on the weak or unobservant. Let's make an effort to not destroy entire class mechanics and instead talk about things that would actually improve WvW.
FYI, this is coming from a warrior. I just dgaf about stealth because I know how to kill them.

Let's get more NPC soldiers out there so it can feel like a real war.
We could use elite guards guarding stonemist so it won't be taken down so easily. World bosses in WvWvW would be awesome, ex. kraken coming out of the lake.
NPC soldiers that are able to follow you under your command.
-you're able to make them patrol, guard, follow, etc.
-promote NPC soldier's rank ex. private--> captain
Right now WvWvW is too zerg-->--zerg-->zerg
I feel like if the map was filled with countless battles like Orr(except not all dumb zombie NPC's walking around) it would feel more alive.

It's THE reason why I am currently not and I do not see myself doing WvW in any kind of future.
WvW is shitty PvP in concept, but this shouldn't be a reason to make it even shittier by pissing all over the things that the game actually does well.
EDIT:
Although, giving us the option of playing WvW with no server-ties would be the second thing. Just create a special WvW battlefield that anyone can join.
