I've faught this thing like 3 times already, and each time I've contributed a lot. I never got one drop.
Do I have to do prerequizite events before fighting it?

Yes, I open the chest at the end. I'm level 80. My attacks are connecting.

If you're opening the chest, and you're getting items from the chest, then you're getting the Shatterer's drops.  He doesn't leave a corpse to loot.

EDIT:  Ninja'd.  That is very strange.  Have you reported it as a bug, or on the official forums?

Shatterer's Drops are in a chest.  If you don't get Medal Event Award of any level you don't get the chest.  You do not have to do prerequiste events for it.

Not noticing the lack of damage is nothing new... before Claw of Jormag's icewall was finally fixed this monday, people were complaining that destroying the wall was taking too long, but they didn't notice that due to the bug you could only damage it from certain angles
