Was i the only one expecting some new maps and actual "new" stuff ?

I haven't had that many issues with bugs so far, and definitely nothing gamebreaking (though I have encountered some broken events and weird crap in the stories on occasion... But they've been working on these, I have seen fixes to many of the issues I'd noticed). Guess I've been lucky.
Also, daily stuff is meant for casual play. So what if we res and dodge every other minute in the game. The open world is easy enough anyway with the exception of a few harder DEs and some wacko story quests. Yeah dodging 15 times and crafting 10 bolts of jute is hardly an achievement, but at least it's stuff anyone can do even in a very limited timeframe. Hardcore players have fractals and other dungeons to keep 'em busy anyway!
As for the cash shop... You didn't expect them to add more stuff mate? Be happy we're getting as much free stuff as we are... It's not like we need any of the cash shop things to play anyway. Only money I'm gonna spend on it is some character slots eventually

I do believe they said that this would be a small patch compared to the bigger content patches in Feb/March

kanaxais_scythe, you complain about adding new conted, instead of fixing the existing one. HAVE YOU EVEN READ the patch notes?
They consist of 90% bug fixes and rebalances. The only "new" content is the new currency and new quest line. Yet you complain? Oh, gosh...
The previous achievements were generally the same - instead of dogging or reviving you had to kill 10 creatures, or gather 20 nodes or something. I see no reason why the new ones are in any way, shape or form worse!
This game is getting better, people just blindly refuse to accept changes and improvements.

Uh for those of YOU new to this game, in a few months of no bug fixes you will see the point behind this OP. Until then carry on at your anet altar.

Totally incorrect. I've been playing since headstart and the game now is much more polished than at launch. There used to be broken DEs and skill points everywhere in high level zones. Now it's semi-rare for me to find one that doesn't work. Yes there was a rocky period early on but recently A-Net has been nothing but great at fixing bugs and updating content. The fact that they are focused on improving the current game rather than dumping content into it is proof.
I would be curious to see a list of all the bugs that you seem to think are not being addressed.

If so, we all apologize you can't have fun anymore.
If not, then what's the problem again exactly?

Never mind that it's all buggy and quite of bit of it is cheesy. The production line is just too spread out over several continents to make backing up and fixing things easy. Fixing cash shop related things get first priority and the rest is 'when we have time' which of course is not very often.
Sure there are lots of bug fixes listed in the patch notes, but if you actually play this game instead of get paid by the post to be a hack sock puppet, you would know there are key features that were promised at release that are either broken or incomplete. Just go to the official forums, and look up the official bug lists for each profession. I think what really burns people up is that many of these so called bug fixes are for things no one has ever complained of, yet the things people took the time to report remain untouched.

I will list just ONE example of the droves that exist since release, I am not here to be your pony ride.
Ranger sword #1 - ROOTS YOU IN PLACE. The weapon is useless in PvP. Been this way since day one. Enjoy your laurels while anet sits on theirs.

So some vague references to weapon combinations and pets along with one specific bug is how you back up your claim of no bug fixes:

Here I expected a laundry-list of issues I wasn't aware of. I'm honestly tired of the haters who misrepresent the state of the game. Sure there are still bugs, but they are being eliminated one after another and the game is quickly improving.
Am I a 'fanboi'? Maybe so, the term is suggestive. But at least I'm having a heck of a lot more fun than the haters. And having fun is all I really care about.

Hardly any bug fixes? Orr says "hello". There have been a lot of bug fixes made...many of them left out of the patch notes (like when they fixed the broken Ranger "Opening Strikes" trait beginning of Dec). The current patch has been more about "fixing/revisiting/revising existing content" than adding new content...
Yes, there are still events that break. The "Iron Marches" map is still a write-off - there's more broken stuff in there than just about anywhere else (that map was definitely not ready for release, and in reality still isn't up to "release quality"). But even there it's been slowly progressing (I actually got to *see* the Bria events for the first time since release last week...they've been broken every other time I've been through there, and now I've seen/done those about 3-4 times). But there's a huge amount of stuff that was broken at release that has been addressed too, and in general that improves with each content patch.

Yeah I am aware that there are still bugs. 57 profession-related fixes in this last patch alone. My point is that A-Net is working through the bugs and I disagree with TGIFrisbie's claim of months of no bug fixes. Maybe the bugs he wants fixed aren't gone yet, but that is no reason to misrepresent reality.

I'm surprised you haven't grown bored and/or tired of just making up lies on a regular basis. It's like you were getting paid for it or something.

Holidays are over and, in all honesty, they likely did over focus on delivering the holiday specials and the (terribl(y hilarious)e) karka event. Now that the holidays are over and they no longer have these "old fashioned customs to uphold" they are much more free to deal with the game. A lot of games have early on hiccups... Arena just happened to have one for the oddest of reasons.

This is quite the assumption. Just because a bug was fixed that you didn't see anyone whine about on guru, doesn't mean it was never reported. Quite a few bugs I've reported have been fixed.
