This means that the Millenium projections for next week are correct, right?

Indeed they are.
Hmm maybe I should have adjusted my name to Herald of no Change for this bit...

OT: I'm loving the fights. The 3 way fight in our keep in EB this afternoon (for me that is) was awesome. Very 300 like holding the breaches on both sides with SoS and JQ pouring in!

I'll wait until the official kickoff, where Coron explains why it is good strategy to 2 v 1 Jade Quarry if Jade Quarry is in 1st place, and why it is good strategy to 2 v1 Jade Quarry if SoS is in 1st place.
I'll have my notebook ready this time.

We’ve been keeping a very close watch on this week’s matchups and, despite our concerns regarding the recent population shifts, it seems that many of the games are quite competitive. At the same time we’ve been evaluating some possible changes to the math we use to calculate ratings. After examining a number of new methodologies for weighting the outcomes of matches we have found that our existing formulas already do pretty much what we want them to do. Certainly none of the candidates that we tried yielded better results.
In light of the strong community response to the idea of a WvW ratings reset, the results of our ratings formula investigations, and our data on the current matchups we have decided not to reset the WvW ratings at this time. All existing WvW ratings will be preserved and the rating calculation methodology will remain unchanged. Any existing mismatches should be corrected by the system in relatively short order. Now that there is less volatility in the player base for each world we expect the quality of matches to improve more quickly. This is both because the rating system is operating in a less unpredictable environment and because more stable teams tend to produce better results.
Thank you all for your feedback on this matter, and for your patience while we explored the various options. The community response was a key element in our decision making process.
workshops will be extended indefinately

I would just like to say this is the closest match up in real 3 server terms that I think we have all experienced and its been a lot of fun for me and from this recent batch of posts it feels like others have found the same. Last night there was still only 10K between all three servers. Today the gap is a bit wider by hey, its Thursday and only 24 hours left so I guess you kinda expect that at some point. I was hoping it would stay really tight all the way to the end but maybe not. We can still all have alot of fun though right?
I spent my time on EB last night and what really struck me this match up when I thought back over the days and made me realise out tight this match up actually had been was how many times SM had been flipped during the week. Several times during a 24 hour period regularly. I remember SoR geeting a WP once and maybe SoS did but i dont think I saw one from JQ in my play time anyway.
I know JQ has better coverage and a wider player base at present, we all know that to be true if we are honest with ourselves but both SoS and SoR have fought really hard this week and I never felt safe at all in the last few days and I am really proud to have been part of such a great match up. We have had some real McCoys in the last few weeks and I did wonder if this week would be as good and it has surpassed my expectations. You might think this has been easy for us but both servers pushed us very hard and we had to really maximise points when we were strong and hold on by our fingernails when we were not. There have been plenty of times in the last 6 days when we have been ticking last. The score evolution chart on millenium really shows this http://mos.millenium...ervers/view/29/ its only in the last 36 hours we started to slowly pull ahead.
So despite what I might have said yesterday, I thank all servers and their players for fighting so hard and and making it a great match up. It looks like we might be going into different match ups next week but I hope we meet up again soon as worthy opponents.
Special thanks to Coron and his most recent post. I know I give you a hard time on these forums but that was an excellent post in a recent sea of great posts and it really came across as genuine as I am sure it was.
Good luck and have fun in WvW in the next 24 hours and I hope your next matchups are as much fun as this one.
P.S, well kitten me, it seems we are destined to meet again next week... Looking forward to it and I promise to leave my trollsuit packed tightly away

Well just looking at the ratings of the T1 servers compared to the average T2 server (BG is not teh average T2 server), it is a big difference to make up. A T2 server would have to absolutely dominate T2 by 200k every week for months to get the glicko needed to break into T1. Or a T1 server would have to implode ala SBI.
Because BG dominated T2 for so long and made competitive showings in T1 we have a much bigger rating then the other two T2 servers. That makes it extra hard to gain glicko off the other 2 servers in T2. As for Kaineng, they would have to completely blowout T2 for at least multiple weeks to even think about moving up to Tier 1.

Naw naw naw, I was trolling. Just not trolling him specifically. Okay, I was. But he liked it. (I think)
Oh and no ratings reset? Crap. Does this mean EB JP is closed again?

Don't see how this would have impacted the scores in any shape or form, all 3 servers have been trying to win it this week, it's only when the result is definite that you start seeing some servers taking their foot off the pedal.
