EB is not much of a strategy based map. The commanders there do the best they can managing the rowdies. They don't 'focus on SoS'.. Ask SoR how many times we've popped Langor and Bravost this week.

We weren't even on the list for a few of those guilds. We recruited them hard, over many objections and barely got the vote in some cases.

You seem to be a pretty reasonable and funny poster, and I can respect that, but you have no clue how much effort we made. I stopped playing WvW for a week because I was too busy shaking hands and making plans with these guilds.

I can understand your frustration, but saying those guilds 'chose' to come to JQ on their own and we didn't recruit them is mad. Mad I tell you. They only chose to come to JQ because we went out of our way to show them what we were about.

Even the ones you think 'followed' other guilds here, most did NOT want to come to JQ to play with their friends UNTIL we spent time talking to them, bringing them into our TS, making friends with them, overcoming objections and quelling fears and finding time slots... heck, some of them lost members to come here, but came because we were the ONLY server actively recruiting them and talking to them daily.

I like you and all, but this is wrong. Very wrong.

I respect your effort, but this is not in question. I doubt anyone would question it. You have to admit though, you can't deny the snowball effect. You probably can also understand a guilds unwillingness to admit it. That's what I was getting at. I was not disputing your effort. This deffintely would of helped your situation and you know it.

Yes, there was a snowball effect, there always is with these things, impossible to control recruitment and its not really fair as its everyones game. We reached out to some folks and some contacted us but obviously there were other folks who decided to transfer as well.  We aren't the sort of community to say no. Please don't take that the wrong way and assume I mean there are others who would. I'm sure all servers would take the same approach.

We have just done the best we could to welcome all the folks who came over and end up with a bigger happy family the new website that was launched at the same time as transfer deadline day has helped with that as well I think.

These things do have a habit of balancing out over time as well. So far there have been many server changes in WvW in the last 5 months and I am sure in 5 months time things will look very different again. It doesn't seem that paid transfers are stopping transfers much as I am hearing of other servers getting new guilds over the last 2 weeks which is good. If you have to part with a bit of gold then your choice will be a bit more considered which is how it should be really in my opinion. Maybe I am old school in that

  I don't understand what you mean. That snowball effect never happens if we don't get the five or six guilds we pushed hard to get. That's kinda the idea...

I wouldn't worry about it too much. There's no sense in trying to explain server politics to a guy who couldn't manage to spell Vader.

Just came to know from a guy I know on Blackgate whose friend who is also Blackgate got told by his granny who leads a small guild there that Blackgate has raised 1000 Gold in there server wide effort to get folks from SoS transferred over. This is quite an achievement by BG community. The money raising drive will go till 20th his granny told. I request everyone to please donate generously so we can put our refugee brothers and sisters of Sea of Sorrow out of their misery. Also looks like BG leadership has begged the biggest and the bestest GW2 forum guild Team Legacy to come take over command at BG.

My guild leader died, leaving a HUGE sum of guildies and we want to transfer.

Unfortunantly we have no gold so we can't transfer meaning that all these guildies will have to stay and fight in SoS.

So the gold will be much appreciated to help us move.

If your guild is interested in moving to BG then go to http://www.blackgatewvw.com/ and get in contact with BG leadership.
Also msg Laylyn if possible, he can guide you and evaluate your guild.

How am I getting dragged into this satirical parody?   I'm not mining SoS for members, nor am I actively recruiting anyone.  

I'll do my best to help those that have decided to come to BG.   However, there is absolutely no value in collapsing a Tier 1-2 server.   The whole community lost with what happened to HoD, ET, SBI and IOJ.

BG went through the same thing that SoS is going through right now.  We did it not just once, but twice, and dropped all the way down to Tier 4.  

SoS has also survived a migration before and stayed Tier 1 green at the time.  I hope they stay stable in Tiers 1-2.

Gods of GW2 have chosen you to be in game Moses and you have to save folks at SoS, willingly or unwillingly. It is destiny my friend. So take out your staff and split the Sea of Sorrows and safely lead "The children of the Zerg" to Blackgate.

The Gods know you are just and kind. They also know during your last cross-server recruitments push you had the chance to make Blackgate a stacked server but did not as you wanted healthy competition.
