I agree, as soon as I got my first 5 I bought the dyes and sold them for 18s2c each. So around 1.5G after listing fee, Nice little profit.

However I saw just last night they are down to around 13s each so, I think more people are doing this which of course will cause the price to go down.

If the price goes down too much I will just save them up and see if they add anything else along the way.
The price will fluctuate. I sold some today for a little over 19s. Over time, the price should actually rise, since inflation and demand will outrun the increasing supply due to accumulating laurels.

Yes you are correct, I looked again last night and saw they were around high 17 again.

So, I think the dyes will be the best value for the Laurels unless they come up with something else to spend them on.

I actually just bought 4 ranger gear packs (meaning I used 10 laurels) and can't even open them. "This content has been temporarily disabled" it says... That's a damn fine shame...

Also I believe lvl 78 exotics have better stats then lvl 80 rares.  A good in-betweener gear tier for newer players/alts.  Really any exotic would be worth it.
I'll have to check, and it may depend on the item, but I think even level 76 exotics have better raw stats (dmg, defense, boosts) than level 80 rares.  Plus, the exotics will likely also have a superior sigil/rune.

That is because said box is bugged and they decided to disable the ability to open them until they were fixed.

I'd be willing to spend 5 laurels on one box if it dropped lvl 80 exotics guaranteed.  Because you're still gambling about the stats.  So that would be worth it. Hell, it would be worth it if 10 laurels guaranteed a lvl 80 exotic.

Because as of right now, jugs of liquid karma are better for getting exotics.  It takes 10 jugs without a karma booster to have enough to get one piece of karma gear.  And you get to choose the stats, it's a limited selection, but some choice is better than none or RNG.  Or run AC all paths and that's enough for boots or gloves.

Karma and dungeons is how I geared most of my guys.  I got 4 lvl 80's in full exotics and 2 more coming up with exotic armor all ready for them.  Only crafted the jewelry except for on my first, now I can get that with karma too.

Right now, I'm just trying to avoid RNG as much as I can, I have terrible luck.

How's this space cadets,

Those Mystic Binding Agents, 10 for 10 laurels, are supposedly supposed to replace Elonian Wine in the recipies to ture Cores into Lodestones.  Which saves about 25s.  So factor that into buying and selling cores on the TP or upgrading cores your already got.

Rifle confirmed for ranger, Shortbow confirmed for Warrior.

I call them ecto boxes. I think i'll buy dyes and open them, 10 chances at a rare dye sounds fun :)

I'd have really appreciated it if they... say... shut down the ability to purchase them at all until it was fixed so I wouldn't waste 10 laurels on something I can't use >.< Well, I guess I'll just wait it out... Until February updates...

Ectos are still lovely <3 As for dyes, those are definitely worth it it appears. A guildie of mine bought 20 and among them there was a Celestial dye, a Blood dye, and wait for it.... Abyss :P I know the chances are still the same as any other dyes, but still, I had to grumble a bit XD

LOL...It IS fun.  I bought one of the dye packs with my first 5 laurels and I ended up getting a very nice return on my investment.  I ended up getting 2 rares (midnight blue and celestial), 3 uncommons, and 5 commons.  Sold the celestial for a bit under 14g.  I'm sure luck wont be as kind every time, but it was a nice first experience with the laurel rewards.
