<sigh> If you really don't want to have your dodge source stolen... (which if you are actually complaining about makes me embarrassed for you).

This should help:

1. goto Lion's arch (via pvp portal)
2. goto The Black Citadel (via free asura gate)
3. goto the Dissea Plateau (free in city waypoint + is adjacent to the Black Citadel)
4. Head towards the Champion giant event and wait for it to kick off / join in if in progress.
5. get your dodge on. You need it for this fight especially if the giant decided to be your best friend.

Have a rainbow day. :D

If you are having trouble finding Vet's do the skill point/vista jump puzzle to the southeast. Lots of Ascolonian ghosts to be had.

Hex.

Dodging around under a Barrage AoE works wonders. Underneath an arrow cart in WvW is even better. So if you're really in a hurry, don't waste time on normal mobs, go find something like that - you'll be done in seconds, then you can move on to something actually interesting :)

Honestly there is all this whinging but I always end up finishing daily with in the first hour i log on. daily craft- simple just go refine 10 times and it's done. daily revive- theres plenty of dead npc's in orr and other areas, if you can't get to orr run around in 1-15 zones plenty of em there too. daily underwater- I admit this is annoying but as of last time i did it even the little fish in lakes and stuff counted for it so not that hard. daily dodge- another simple one as many people have stated, go find a turret or an ettin or do fotm and it'll be done. daily kills is obvious, just go kill stuff. and kill variety is also fairly easy just go to five different areas that aren't connected to each other and kill stuff for five minutes you'll get variety and kills at the same time. So please everyone just stop whining and play the game.

Daily dodge? What kind of new nonsense is that?

The worst kind

Why are people giving advice on how to do the daily dodge? That isn't going to solve anything. People are still going to be out there dancing with raptors and everyone here knows how to do it. And some of the suggestions are just stupid; equip special skills, go to certain areas, farm WvW, etc. these are all just as bad as farming raptors.

Daily dodge is encouraging bad play, it aslo rewards solo play over group play (ranger in a party of 5 isn;t going to get a lot of dodges in). Why are you all defending this rubbish achievement? I like that they added more things on the dailies and mix them up but daily dodge and heal are really bad for sane gameplay.

Encouraging dodging is encouraging bad play? You're not getting in any of my dungeon parties.

What?  And you're calling him a troll??  I get daily heals and dodges done in one run of a dungeon where it is absolutely essential - even if you're a ranger.  If you don't dodge or heal in a dungeon - you're not a good party player.

You guys are unbelievable. You are incapable of a debate unless you assume the other guy is the worst idiot on the planet.

I will say this AGAIN

I have no problem dodging
I have no problem healing

I am commenting on what people are complaining about. I am not complaining about it. It is my belief that the bad gameplay that people are complaining about is a result of a bad game mechanic introduded by ANet. There will always be bad players, if they become a problem you can not solve it by magically making all the bad players better.

Just thing about it, half the players in the game are worse than average!

Then quit keeping this thread alive.

Just because people can't get the daily requiring dodges, when all they want to do is afk while auto-attacking then that's their problem. The OP is just whining about people stealing his made up method for 'getting the dodges fast'. He says right in his post that it makes a 5 min process slower. To each his own, but its not the difficulty the OP was complaining about but the speed. And sorry but if i kill a mob, suck it up and find a new one or move to a less popular spot. Its not like enemies are hard to find.

If you geniuely, and i mean GENUINELY, find the daily dodge requirement to be hard to acquire, you need to come to one of two realizations: that you need re-evaluate how you play your character and the game as a whole or you need to realize that you suck and accept it (which usually leads to former realization afterwards if you continue to play).

If you find that the daily dodge is hard to quickly (fast, speedy, really short time) achieve, that is a different issue altogether. One for which I no sympathy for.

Because I'm capable of not only carrying you, I'm capable of telling you exactly where you're going wrong while still catering to your specific choice of class and build.

I'm very good at educating people that want to get better. I won't tell you to change your build. I won't tell you to change to another class. I can actually help you learn from your mistakes. But people that are so adamant that any form of change is bad will NEVER improve. Adaptation is what makes a truly great player.

Is the game bad for making you dodge or are you bad for not wanting to do it?

Please, let's love each other. Next time you see a dodge farmer, don't kill his monster. Bring him 10 more to speed up the farm ;)

Why is it you guys can't comprehend this? Because it makes your posts inbetween look stupid.

I think it's just that you are locked into an argument and you don't even bother to read what anyone else is writing. I don't even disagree with you. I am even pointing out that people who behave like this are bad players.

So what are we disagreeing on? It looks like you blame the bad players for this. Fine, but don't expect bad players to disappear anytime soon. There is only one way this "problem" will ever get resolved, and that is the people who introduced the "problem" in the first place.

tl;dr
yada yada, blah blah.<insert whatever you want to beleive I am saying here> yada yada.

The whole point of having the dailies in the first place was to level the playing field a bit for casuals, reducing the income gap between those who can only play for short periods each day and those who play for longer periods. The dailies are supposed to give reasonably high rewards in a short period.

Cite your source. Tell me where an Anet said that dailies were meant to reward casual play, when their very existence flies in the face of "casual play" by requiring a certain amount of gameplay daily. Anet's definition of "casual play" is that people can log in whenever they want and still be competitive, rather than falling far enough behind in the stat race that they're at a complete disadvantage.

Now, I'm not criticizing Anet. These dailies are rewards for those who play more often. Period. Not punishments for those who don't. Stop acting like you're entitled; earn your rewards or don't.

I meant the daily achievements that are causing the undesirable behaviour in some players the people are complaining about in this thread. Not the act of dodging and heal/res. The fact that it is now an achievement is encouragin some players to engage in artificial activities just to satisfy the requirements.

You want a quote from ANet? Below is the most recent one I could find, authored by Eric Flannum. Boldface added to the key statements. The quote is from Guild Wars 2 Year End Development Update in 2011.

Quote

We also track what we call daily and monthly achievements in the achievement panel. Daily achievements are what we used to call daily feats and have been in the game for quite some time. We were looking for an easy way for players to track their progress on their daily feats, and rolling them into the achievement system made a lot of sense. Daily achievements are a list of achievements that reset every 24 hours. They are very easy to accomplish, and players are expected to complete them in a short period of time. For example, one of the daily achievements tracks the number of monsters of any type killed by the player. Once an achievement has been completed, the player is rewarded with some achievement points as well as a chest containing gold and experience orbs. The player can now progress toward completion of the next tier of the achievement. There are a finite number of tiers for each daily achievement, and the numbers are skewed such that more casual players should finish a high percentage of them in an average play session. If a player is able to complete enough daily achievements, they will also unlock a special bonus chest. This system makes the first couple of hours of play each day extremely productive and helps equalize experience and gold gain between casual and hardcore players.
Feel free to apologize for your baseless namecalling.
