I'm not sure exactly how my Mesmer would be able to use it, but I WANT THAT PONY BOW.

Actually, I think Minami Kaori nailed it regarding the problems with legendaries. But I still want that pony bow. Did I mention the pony bow? That I want? Yeah, I want that.

i'm down to my gift of fortune, 64 molten lodestones, 100 icy runestones and the Colossus before I have Juggernaut. I'm not worrying about the precursor until I'm done with the rest. I still forge rare hammers and account-bound exotic weapons (random as I get them) hoping for a hit on something, but I'm focusing more on getting everything else squared away for when whatever scavenger hunt is planned shows up. Because I dislike the over-inflated prices for precursors and the RNG which make it happen. The uncertainty around the scav hunt also allows me to take my time with the rest of it. I plan to keep 100g in my bank at all times until I get everything but the precursor. That's my goal. To not completely destroy my bankroll just for one weapon...I make it with profits from playing after reaching that point, nothing more.

Feeling the same here, except I'd use it on my ranger to troll around in WvW.

The thing is that any profitable activities (playing TP, actively farming events or dungeons) are all things I do not enjoy. I have plenty of other things to spend my money on other than gold sellers for some digital currency. And I would be insane to even think of buying gems if it's about such ridiculous amounts. Sure the second wouldn't get me banned, but I'd still be spending less cash on an alt account to transfer to + the costs.

I did not play GW2 in beta, which did not leave me with a distrinct advantage on the TP. So I will not get my ponybow as a present.

That said, I would either burn out or make sure that I won't have a dime to spend afterwards. I play this game for my entertainment. If I pursue something this far out of range it'll just become a chore. And in the unlikely event I would attain one, it'll probably have lost its' worth to me by then.

I've been playing since pre-release as well and I don't think I'll ever get it. I'd like to get the Shield (Flameseeker Prophecies) but I don't see myself making 2100gold playing casually. In the end, it's kinda pointless anyway.
