Arenanet has just posted an announcement stating that the Guild Wars 2 servers will be offline on February 13th 8:00 - 12:00 GMT.  It will be routine server maintenance.

We will be doing scheduled server maintenance on Wednesday February 13th from 12:00 AM – 4:00 AM PST (08:00 – 12:00 GMT). During this period players on both North American and European worlds will not be able to log in. Forums, register.guildwars2.com, and buy.guildwars2.com will also not be available during this time, and the Black Lion Trading Company will not be available until 6:00 AM PST (14:00 GMT).

Is it the first one?   I haven't been keeping track TBH.  So we can chalk up 4 hours to the lifelong tally now?    Isn't GW1 at 32 hours or something like that for total downtime?

Something around 35h if I remember correctly.

There has been several scheduled down times since launch. Not a big deal though considering that the game is literally up 99.999% of the time haha.

I guess this is the 00.001% downtime. Sounds like they need to give the hardware some serious love.

Actually most of those times it has been very possible to play the game, but with some connection troubles. This is, as far as I remember, the first time where it is completely impossible to play.

This.  During the last big update I was able to do a dungeon run, got through it, you could just see the bosses create some bad latency, but it was bearable.

To clarify, previously, when some, perhaps even a majority at times, could not log on due to network and/or login server issues, a lot of people could still continue to play so the game was never 100% unavailable (as far as we know. Could be that GW2 was 100% unavailable for a few minutes at a time during the period after launch, but we'll probably never know for sure.) as will be the case during the coming maintenance down time.
