I want my loading bar back.

I never know if the game is just slowloading or if it's on infinity-load, because I can't see any progress.
Definitely a horrible experience during the Karka event - which in turn seems to have fried my graphics card too (many problems since then).

I also want to sit normally on chairs, instead of sinking through them with only my head sticking out.

Cantha being on On Hold/Canceled isn't sitting well with me either.

1. Why are you adding Ascended gear in gradually rather than all at once?
2. What's the word on the scavenger hunt for precursors? A legendary should be about skill over luck. Precursors stop many in their tracks.

1. Can we please have more and different forms of currencies which we can not convert between?
2. Oh, and can those new currencies be Account bound and take up even more of our bank space? I almost have a few slots left from all the other account bound tokens.

Why do some skills, especially elite skills, have such a huge recharge rate or cooldown time?   5-10 seconds of use with a 2-3 minute turnaround seems excessive to me, and hardly worth using.

Why do we have such a complicated guild roster system?   GW1's guild roster with leaders at the top, then officers, then members, sorted by last log on time, was very simple and easy to use.  

And I'm excitedly waiting for guild halls, so my guild can have events and parties again in private instead of bothering everyone in public map chat.

Some clues to the Final Rest, and will  they implement more unique weapons from boss's in the future so that  we have more adventures for collectors like we had in gw1 with chest farming for rare wepons.

- When might we see an expansion?

- How will crafting be kept relevant as Ascended items continue to roll out?

- As the Laurel system evolves to include choosable dailies and other achievements, will Laurel rewards be expanding as well?  If so, what should we expect?

- What kind of changes/rewards will we be seeing from Living Story in the coming months?

Story Villains and Conflicts:
Dragons, monsters and “faceless” racial factions are what we have been fighting up to this point. Are there any plans to add more “human” villains with more character and personality? The rise of the Elder Dragons would give many opportunities for individuals to gain power or take advantage of weakening states. Are there any internal political conflicts on the horizon that might lead to an all out war?

Dynamic Event Design:
The campaign in Ore left much to be desired. Dynamic events felt scattered and there was no definite “battle-line” that could be focused upon. Risen were everywhere no matter how far the pendulum of event chains was pushed back leaving the player impact on the zone to a minimum. Are you hoping to rectify this in the future and bring out the full potential of dynamic events? The capacity to make dynamic events feel like a real fantasy battle or war is there.

The right click targeting has made me stop playing as much as I used too. This really needs to be addressed.

Q. Will there be performance updates(not just culling) in the recent future.

Speaking strictly as a Tyrian and Tarnished Coast Pirate:
1) Are we ever gonna have a talking, USEFUL parrot that stands on our shoulders (Back braces)? oh, hey, and throw in a peg leg too.
2) Why can't I wave and greet fellow Tyrian when I am running?
3) If we can move around while casting spells/skills, why can't we cast spells unless we are facing the enemy directly? see, when you run in a circle, kiting a malee opponent, your spells/skills don't work, hence how are you to kite?

4) Can you tell us one big secret related to Guild Wars 2 future that would make every player very very happy?

haha, that's why I love ANet. Well one of the reasons. I'm really loving the increased communication ever since the new year. It's been very noticeable. I hope you guys keep it up.

I'd want these questions answered (and the order is very important):

1. "What do you like/dislike about player housing in other games (especially Rift)?

2. "Do you think ANet is likely to implement a housing system along those lines in the future, what might you do to avoid what you dislike about a housing system, and how likely is it we might see such a system in the first expansion?"

I know a lot of people are asking about housing up above, but ask it like I laid out and you'll get more information than just flat out asking for housing for the billionth time. Even if he doesn't answer the second question, we might at least get insight into their thoughts on the matter in general from the first question.

3. Any new racial (Asura in particular?) themed gear skins coming in the future? Especially for legendaries?

4. Any plans to let us sort armor on the trading post by type? Light, Medium, Heavy?

5. Any plans to new emotes up on the gem store? I especially want an arrogant but adorable /flex for Asura.

I'd like to ask Colin what he thinks GW2 is missing the most. Everyone has their own preferences, but I think it would be interesting to hear someone's perspective on this topic who is actually developing the game.

For instance, I know Anet's focus, as of now, is fairly split between repopulating PvE areas and bringing PvP up to par. But, why are those areas lacking in the first place, what needs to be fixed? I'd like to know what they feel is the most important to work on to meet these goals, from a design perspective and from a player perspective. Is it the content, is it the rewards, or is it the interactions people can do with the environment and one another that is most important?



I just recently watched Wooden Potato's newest video regarding gw2 , and I share a similar perspective to his. I'd like to hear Anet's response to the concerns outlined in this video, which is:
  • The world feels hollow because of not being able to interact with it all that much. It has so much personality and beauty, and yet you can only look at it.

  • Are there any plans on introducing ways to interact with the environment, via the use of a traditional quest model or some other functions?

  • Why was the traditional quest model completely left out of the equation in developing gw2? We understand that GW2 is trying to innovate the genre (it undoubtedly has), but the main innovations come from taking existent models and refining them, removing the bad and improving the good. Many aspects of GW2 reflect this (combat, level scaling, crafting, dungeons, overflows), and yet, for the most important model, the content, nothing is refined from the old model, it's just redone completely.
    • I'd also like to emphasize that I'm not talking about "kill 10 rat quests", but rather have npcs or objects that you can interact with that give you a task to do. These could sprout mini-games, scripted conversations and npc interactions, or grant access to areas that could not normally be accessed. The areas of gw2, especially the cities, are massively huge and gorgeous, and house an unlimited amount of potential for content, and yet they are nothing more than glorified museums. No touching allowed. It just seems weird, and lacking.
I'm not so much concerned with when certain features will release. Guild halls, esport pvp, precursor scavenger hunts, expansions, new weapons, and the like will all eventually come out. I'd rather know things that we otherwise wouldn't know, but can hear now.

As for questions... I'm mostly concerned about Cantha, along with Guild Halls, and other guild functions. Primarily, will guilds ever become as functional as they were in GW1.

Q1: Will the amount of crafting materials required in the creation of infusions, ascended back items and their infused versions be lowered in the near future (as imo already hinted)?

Q2: Are there plans on implementing infusions of higher rarity (masterwork, rare, etc.) into the game?

Do you think it's time to talk about a gold limit?

Every time I farm up the money I need for something cool it's doubled in price. Game is beginning be more Gold Wars then Guilds. How long until things begin to cost millions?

When the dates get closer we will reveal , blah, blah, blah but we are working on culling, working on this and that and what not.

Why aren't legendary weapons account bound instead of soul bound? and why is the number of players allowed into each WvW borderland so low considering the amount of players per server?

-Any plans on adding boss-hunting? Most MMOs has this, and I think it's great when you can hunt down bosses with unique names and you have a chance to loot unique weapon/armor skins from them. They should appear at random places in a specific zone, so unlike Dragons and Temples they wouldn't have fixed spawn place and wouldn't count as a DE. It would be a nice search & kill feeling :P

(To be honest anything similar would be great to make open world more enjoyable. I'm sick with "bosses" that have some stupid name like "Veteran/Champion XY" and after they're dead I'm rewarded with an useless porous bone.

Most important question I can think of would be:


Is your team considering alternatives to the current state of how Conditions work?

Is there potential for the "cap" on conditions to be personal, with each player able to create a their own unique, individually damaging instances of Burning and Poison, as well as their own stacks of Confusion and Bleeding? (Limited to PvE perhaps, not player-received conditions in say PvP and WvW)

Question nr.1 : When will I get nice. decent drops in any other area, but Orr (and by that I mean any other area but the level 75-80 areas)? I'm sick of going in Queensdale and everytime I kill any foe, I get a worthless item (by worthless item I understand any item that's worth between 4-20c) - compared to doing the same in the high level areas.

Question nr.2 : When are you guys gonna come up with a fix recipe for precursors or with anything that would actually help people with getting the precursor of their dreams? It's tough when you have all the gifts and all you need more is the precursor, which is so RNG-ed, that you could take 1 million tries with the Mystic Toilet and still not get one, plus DR and RNG all over the place makes even farming for gold pretty much doable only a certain period of time. To some people, this is as important as it's to others the look of their armor. Some people already threw hundreds of thousands of GS's into the Mystic Toilet and still got no precursor and I simply (I think I'm not the only one thinking like this) can't believe this is how it should be. They don't call it the Mystic Toilet for nothing. Cut the crap, cut the RNG. It's supposed to be a game and not a reason for some frustration.

Question nr.3 : When are you guys gonna make dynamic events really dynamic? I thought that dynamic events meant things that start spontaneous and affect an entire area, villages being attacked by centaurs, being burned, NPCs running all around, you know.

Question nr.4 : When (if ever) are you guys gonna diminish the costs for WPs?

Question nr.5 : When am I going to see end chests from certain events (taking back the temple of Balthazar for exemple - everyone knows that it's not the easiest thing to do) that drop ANYTHING but blues / whites? I mean come on - after going in different areas and trying to recruit people for an event like that, after 30-40 minutes or more of fighting, all you should get is blues / whites? Why would I do that event then?I'm better off farming a mindless event - Penitent / Shelter. And no, I don't expect precursors or exotics, but try something in the middle, cause there are lots of things somewhere in between whites and precursors. Most of the times, it just feels like there's no point in doing a lot of events, because your "efforts" aren't clearly appreciated, since all you get is a handfull of blues. Right now I prefer running Penitent / Shelter over and over again - there's no end chest, but I get a shitload of rares and T5/T6 materials. I'd love going in Queensdale and do event after event and involve myself in the area, help people around (but the costs of simply jumping from one WP to another to help one guy or another is just too high, so most of the times I had to just ignore players asking for help) but I simply don't get anything worth it. If and when I do it, I do it for fun.

P.S. Don't get me wrong, I don't wanna defend ANet or accuse them of anything - I love the game, but there are some things that I truly hate.

Why has ANET abandoned their original game designs and promises?
What happened to everything we loved about GW1?
What happened to defying existing conventions?
What happened to no grinding for stats?
What happened to not building the same MMO than everyone else?
What happened to being able to acquire max stat gear trough all means of the game?
What happened to rewarding players for playing the way they want to play?

Guys, you need to ask questions like this. There's no point asking the questions that have already been asked several times, you'll just get flakey answers. After reading through most of the questions asked here I already know the answer you'll get.

I don't have any questions because of the above reason but please ask him nicely to speed up the chest rewards so people are more motivated to run dungeons and other events.
