Anyone in T1 saying they are on a 'small server' should be forced to spend a month in EU T8...

I'll need to add that to my Guru dictionary. Small Server = The 2nd Place Server in T1. I can add it right next to Trolling = Telling the Truth.

Not everyone here confuses the two, but I bet people from 'small servers' do. lol

I've noticed a few things this weekend. Folks with superior numbers running from fights. What is that about? I know when 20 folks rush us and we have equal or more, we charge back at them. How come a whole lot of folks are running from fights they could easily win?

I even wait, thinking they're just withdrawing to ball up and bomb, but no... they just leave, giving up the objective.

What is up with that?

I think the 4-5 trolls from JQ and the 4-5 trolls from SoS need to go start a different thread so nobody else needs to wade through this crap.  Gotta give credit to SoR for keeping their fight in-game.  This must be some tier 1 disease (troll-fever?).  

Didn't get to play much last night so hopefully I missed some good battles.  Keep fighting SoS!  Stay classy SoR.

Otherwise it was fun fighting you till that point guys from NaK (I think that's the guild) gave me a real chance to get some practice fighting on this character since hes only 4 days old. Learn some sportsmanship you 4.

that's good to hear, but it seems our fairweather wvw players are demoralized, and I see less people in wvw week after week since we made it into tier 1(my perspective, of course).  I guess BG will be knocking us out of tier 1 in few weeks, and hopefully SoR will not suffer the fate like SBI...

   This is pretty standard fare for Tier 1.

   New arrival has lots of enthusiasm and participation.

   The longer you stay, the more attrition takes place as the enthusiasm wanes. If you are winning, it is a slow attrition. If you are losing, then it is faster.

  That's just life in T1.

   If I were in the SoR major guilds, my gameplan would be to hold out and stay in T1 until the next WvW update. That will bring people back, presumably, and it would be nice to be in T1 when it happens.

   I would offer this....

   No matter how hard it is, or how bad it is.....it is easier to hold your place in T1, than it is to get out of T2 and into T1.

   As for the SBI fate, I will offer this....

    There was a lot of enthusiasm on SBI to drop out of T1 and get to T2...not from me, but from many on SBI.

   When SBI got to T2, a whole bunch of people showed up, but only for 24 hours. Once they realized it was still WvW, and still just as hard as ever, they vanished again.

   Don't buy into any talk of people coming back if you drop out of T1. That is BS.

   T1 gets harder the longer you are there...not easier. Each week is tougher than the last one.

    But...if you keep fighting, you may just hold your place until the WvW update comes along, and that may change the dynamics for your server, depending on the success of that update.

Are we losing numbers during the week? I was under the impression we had long since shed our easily discouraged types.
However, I only see the weekends. And I don't hear or read anything of the sort from the Rallians then.
We're kinda used to starting the day with our home tower the wrong color, been that way since we got to T2. We smash face, go to bed, do it again. It's actually a fun way to play GW2, no whining in /map. Have to come to the forums to see shameful behavior.

Oddly, I was grumbling at Anet last weekend, then my wife tried to watch some footage of our fights with votf (great guild btw) on our guild website. The video REFUSED to play without buffering every few seconds. Monday morning, it played without a hitch. Makes me speculate that some of these issues might be out of arenanets hands. Usually, the borderlands aren't too laggy. Stonemist untill recently was the only place I'd encountered serious heal hitching.

That's how you can tell when certain teams are approaching, the lagtime of you running or skills.  It are annoying.  I'll reserve my observations for my team and my distaste for certain play styles because they are all legit and part of the game.

I stopped by SoSbl sunday night to observe SPQR in mid-seige and didnt see any shortage of JQ.
I dunno if you think SF and PrX together add up to less bodies than TW (record max online-35) but you certainly didn't need a keep to repel them. It kinda suprised me seeing you guys hit them (It was a great hit too, made me chuckle. You guys are on-par no denying) because when I think prx, I don't normally think needs their numbers bolstered.
By means of comparison, TW bolstered by a few 5 man guilds take and hold garrison. And, the inevidable SoS ninja attempt which is the likely lag source.
If a second large SoR guild is fielded, like on the forementioned sunday FEAR was, they take/hold a second objective.  Such as Hills, which they did, shortly after.
Now do your math. TW takes garrison, FEAR simultaneously assaults hills. How many server clogging militia could there possibly be?
