Hi,
I'm trying to buy a computer for my son for regular use. But, I'd like for it to be able to play Guild Wars 2, since my son has the game and has not been able to play it on his current computer. I'm looking at Dell Inspiron 660, which has Intel Core i3 2120 processor (3.3 GHZ), 6 GB SDRAM, 1 TB hard drive, and integrated HD graphics card. It also has Windows 8 OS.
Will these allow for playing Guild Wars 2 in a reasonable manner?
Need help picking computer for guild wars2

The computer is fine for GW2, but you'll definitely want to upgrade to a better video card. Someone else will have to chime in with a recommendation for that.

Your son would not be happy with Intel HD graphics, especially not the HD2000 graphics in the older i3-2120 - basically, that Dell would suck for gaming, especially in GW2. There are many computers with newer CPUs and basic graphics available.
You didn't give any idea of your budget, however. (Is that Dell used or old stock? I don't think you can get a new one with an i3-2120)

You will need to add a video card. This is a good choice for the 300 WATT power supply that comes with the DELL. Then it will be playable do not expect high FPS in WVW but playable.

The new ones have the i3 3220 and offer the i5 3330 wich would be the better choice for $100 more and add the above video card.

If you could give us an idea of your budget then we could better point you in the right direction.
*I presume you are looking to buy a pre-built and not build it yourself? Also, what Resolution is your son's Monitor?

Thanks all. My budget is $700, stretchable to $900 for the right computer. I'd prefer to buy one pre-built. One of you mentioned the i5 3330. It will still come with the integrated graphics. Would that work?
Thanks again for all the helpful advice.

For $700 you could go for a new iBuypower Revolt, which is "nifty":

Or there are a number of AMD based systems in that price range, such as:

or how about:

which is probably the best choice.
Note - although these are all iBuypower, - it's pure coincidence on the Newegg one - there are other brands available.

That one from Newegg would be a good buy and could even play GW2 on High if the resolution was low enough. A solid Medium or better @ 1080p too.
