'Could care less until I see a list of at least 15 JRPGs being localized to North America

and a new FF.
+1

Good JRPG titles are literally the only reason I'd ever consider a console as worth the investment. Maybe also fighting games, but who plays those anyway .

But really, a new Final Fantasy title, a new Dragon Quest, and a new Persona -- hopefully as good as IV, would be grand. Probably a Ni No Kuni sequel way down the line. Maybe a Valkyria Chronicles sequel? Chrono Trigger/Cross sequel or spinoff? More Star Ocean wouldn't be bad either. Not to mention the ones that don't even make it to the US. Other console exclusives just aren't interesting.

Unfortunately, the only way to get BC is to keep your ps3. The only way to make BC that works properly is to insert ps3 parts into the ps4 and that would make it too expensive.  Another method is software emulation, but that requires a  FAR FAR FAR more powerful computer than the current high-end consumer computer. Let's put it this way, my super awesome PC can barely emulate wii game without breaking a sweat.

Or the final method which would be to store PS3, PS2 and PS1 games on an external server with the correct software/hardware to run them and stream them to customers on demand. Which is what Sony appears to be planning here. I have my doubts about the ability for Sony to deliver proper game streaming to those without a good internet connection but I'm willing to wait and see.

Though I sincerely hope that streaming isn't the end of their backwards compatibility since it would be hard for those with lousy internet.

i was referencing that quote when I made that statement.

They'll probably stick Lightning Returns on the PS4, as well as Versus 13 (talking about Final Fantasy games). I have heard that we should watch out at E3 for some Final Fantasy-related news. This year should be very very exciting :D

The jerk made and announcement about making an annoucement about the future FF game at e3. Honestly, i was kinda piss for like 20 seconds then I realize I don't care about ff anymore. If only they would make a sequel to The last remnant that is one of the few SE games I actually like this gen.

I'm really hoping that the entire ps3 library of games (and I mean every single game and not just the major titles) will be available to play via the streaming thing on ps4. This alone could make the ps4 the best console of all generations if it actually works, but I can see a lot of potential for the service to be a complete flop. There are just so many ps3 games that I wish I could have played since I skipped the ps3. The ps4 specs don't concern me since it will be more PC oriented hardware and can probably be upgraded part by part in the future like a PC.

The only hardware shown has been the controller and I personally like what I saw because it seems like a natural evolution to the last controller. I am by no means a supporter of motion gimmicks and such, but I think this controller adds new stuff without being over the top like the wiiU tablet thing. It has an improved d-pad, improved handles that are larger to fit hands more comfortably, better triggers, headphone jack, etc...
