Well, thanks to the update I just sold 20k of black peppercorns that have been sitting on the trading post for about a month now. But the current price they're at now is eight times what I had mine listed for. Can't decide if I'm upset or not... haha. Was hoping to get a name change contract from this update. Suppose I'll have to check out the new eye/hair colors instead.

Okay at least they didn't make portal LoS. For a second there I was really worried.

Guess now I better hope I have the staff equipped or there's an enemy to teleport to whenever I get stuck in objects or end up in Mesmer Land (aka the underside of the terrain) *rolls eyes*

For anyone interested, the unique eye and hair colors provided in the makeup kits are in the blue spectrum, ranging from dark blue to light violet. I've only experimented with human models so far. Next up is sylvari.

This makes me happy for my D/P thief, twas quite frustrating to use Shadow Shot only to have my own dumb self interrupt the dagger portion of the attack.  Lol.

Looks to be some good stuff in this update, some needed tweaks (no more stealth stacking on CnD via WvW walls, which was just a very broken mechanic :D), and some things that interest me quite a bit, particularly the changes to AC.  Just ran it last night with a group and will be interested to see what got changed and how it effects the overall run.

Fixed most cases of a bug where players would be stuck auto-running when attempting to pick up a bundle.

Now you just don't go anywhere..you just sit there rooted and auto-attacking, because that's what caused it. moving while auto-attacking and hitting F.

I'm also over the big-guild gating that they've introduced. The currency for the ascended accessories, only from the chests exclusive to members of the initiating guild. Sure you can spend 40 laurels and 50 ecto on one from that vendor but...hell with that. Big guilds get precursors faster, big guilds get to higher fractals cheaper, big guilds get more influence and upgrades.


Anet: put them in fractals for pristine relics. Period.

And I've been a strong proponent of dailies since the last change. But this one is just ridiculous. kill counts are now specific to areas. Only downleveled events count. Gaining skill points...so either explore on alts or grind out levels on 80s. I'm over it. Yeah it's motivation to get into low level areas. But I don't get dailies for doing high end content any more, and high end content is what gives the most influence for these guild events.

Hehe I was a big fan of sky blue eyes. Planning to save my kit for a while. Might use it on my charr so that his horns won't clip with t3 helm (when I eventually get it for him). Sorry I couldn't post pics. Not too great with stuff like that xP

Hmm... Anyone know where the two new waypoints are?  I had 100% map completion, but now it says I'm missing two WPs...

You do realize that those were only for 'yesterdays' daily selection and now there's a more "normal" selection to choose from right...? Even after seeing the new ones, how could you assume that they'd only give you the same 10 or w/e to choose from each day? >_>

They added one to Caudecus's Manor story mode. But i don't think those waypoints every counted hm

For some reason I hate patches, they always make things worse. Everytime, I read the patchnotes, I get the feeling, that the game was better before.

Seems like Anet tries to slowly destroy their game with every patch, like EA destroyed the Command & Conquer franchise bit by bit with every new release after they bought up Westwood.

Just the universal ones, like Lunaria, Circle of the Moon and the others that give +stats to all categories.

The fact that they've introduced these new ones is enough to feel forced into doing more things I didn't want to do. The old argument that you're forced around didn't work until now...because you could get those kills anywhere you wanted. I hate playing in ascalon, yet now I have a chance of having that plus 8 other meh-worthy daily requirements. Oh, and WvW looks to be a constant staple once again.

The point is that they're adding all this new stuff but making more and more grind in order to do it. Chests from events only accessible once a day? What the hell? Theme Park MMO.

Wait. First you cry about grind but then you cry about not being able to grind? Contradiction Level 80, i´d say. But, oh wait, thats called "farming", i´d guess. But you sure note there is no difference.

The new dailies are ok although i liked the daily system we had since launch the most. It happened to me that i did my daily without actually doing it, but since laurels were introduced within the new system and now this one you actually have to take a look at what has to be done.

But what really got my attention is the nerf to spy kits. finally thieves shine again because of their class mechanic and will have a much greater use :)

Something that they "forgot" to list was the infamous Ash Legion Spy Kit, ok they nerfed I can live with that. Always believed in skill over consumables but I find it childish not to list it.

We're not in kindergarten anymore, listing nerfs or not everyone has to update the game to play, so can ANet start being more clear with us?

I'm not crying about it, I don't give a crap about those kits but I don't like these childish moves.

It was listed.
You need to read the notes again.

Clue: It wasn't about just the spykits.
