Guardian
  • Pure of Voice: This trait has been fixed to always properly convert conditions into boons.
  • Smite: Now displays a radius skill fact.
  • Empower: This ability now casts faster. Fixed a bug that caused this skill to heal twice.
  • Healing Breeze: Angle of this ability has been increased so that allies are easier to hit.
  • Hold the Line: This shout’s range has been reduced to 600, making it consistent with other shouts. It now properly affects allies within its full radius.
  • Line of Warding: This ability’s animation has changed and can now be cast while on the move.
  • Orb of Light: This ability now heals allies it passes through.
  • Orb of Light Detonate: Increased this ability’s scaling with healing power by 50% and reduced its level scaling by 20%.
  • Shield of Absorption: Added a skill fact to the healing portion of this ability.
  • Symbol of Wrath: Increased the size of the combo field on this ability to cover the whole visual area.
  • Bow of Truth: The health of this spirit has been increased by 30%.
  • Hammer of Wisdom: The health of this spirit has been increased by 33%.
  • Sword of Justice: The health of this spirit has been increased by 30%.
  • Shield of the Avenger: The health of this spirit has been increased by 30%.

Basically, buffs to staff, fixes for Hold the Line, and more health for spirit weapons.

Could be worse.  I was expecting greatsword nerfs.

Food items that give special bonuses upon a critical hit now have an internal cooldown before they can produce the special bonus again.

Not a guardian specific change, but I expect it'll have more impact than anything else on that list.

I still cannot cast Line of Warding while moving =/

EDIT: My client somehow connected to the game without downloading the Patch and now after restarting, it downloads the files. I could play the previous version for a while =o

First patch guardian has not been nerfed like crazy. Is a good thing. :P
  • Bow of Truth: The health of this spirit has been increased by 30%.
  • Hammer of Wisdom: The health of this spirit has been increased by 33%.
  • Sword of Justice: The health of this spirit has been increased by 30%.
  • Shield of the Avenger: The health of this spirit has been increased by 30%
Atleast they listened.

Wish they would increase shout range, it misses half the party sometimes...

Eh, at least spirit weapons won't die to incidental hits from mobs so often now, though like all pets they will still die instantly to boss AOE thus making them useless in many dungeon fights because the pet AI is too stupid to avoid hits.

Hopefully that change that soon somehow.

Empower: This ability now casts faster. Fixed a bug that caused this skill to heal twice.

What's the cast time on it now?

3s.  It's super good now.  The 25% reduction in cast time makes a big difference.

There is actually no real balance issue with greatswords perse. However, the fact that it has the most accurate balling skill makes it great.

Staves, on the other hand, needed buffing, and I really think in the future we will see Empower made to be a less static skill. I also think the omnom pie nerf damages your guardian build more than you think. one trigger every second is nothing compared to what it was before; 10~ triggers a second if not more from Smite and your sword cone auto when hitting multiple foes. That being said, I rarely used omnom pie anyway.

Hm. It appears they are at least trying to fix some of the weapons nobody uses, but they still don't see the big picture. The main reason people don't swap to staff in pve is not because #2-#5 are so bad (although those need fixing too), it's because you are stuck with the crap auto attack for so long. Also, they should finally get to fixing their damn tooltips.

  • Healing Breeze: Angle of this ability has been increased so that allies are easier to hit.

  • Q: not using this skill much so no idea what was the old angle and what is the new one. Experienced Guardians please give advice, thanks

  • Hold the Line: This shout’s range has been reduced to 600, making it consistent with other shouts. It now properly affects allies within its full radius.

  • Q: How many allies it affect now?

  • cannot test it myself, so thanks in advance for help.

Hod the line is still normal aoe skill, which means it affects you +4 other party members in 600 radius range.

It actually does the same amount of damage per hit as the scepter auto, just slightly slower.  It's not as bad as it looks.  The sped-up Empower also makes for quite a decent DPS boost.

The "nerf" is a 1second CD.  It still procs quite often and on multiple enemies. I was using it last night and it worked just fine.  The internal cooldown was needed to prevent certain bursty high DPS classes (my ranger and warrior come to mind) from receiving full heals from the buff.

I need more testing, but its an hard nerf imo.

atm i prefer Mango Pie or Bowl of Orrian Truffle and Meat Stew.

If a build centers around the use of life steal food buffs, indeed they are hurting to some extent - that extent is yet to be determined.
Guardians are not the only class that was hurt by this - I know a crap load of Warriors that had built around using omnom oies....

Eye, the build I think this hurt most was flame thrower engineers.  Most of the builds that used flame thrower were built around critical hits & health steal food, it allowed them to do allot more damage then normal & take a ton opf damage without worry,

Pure of voice is amazing now that It's fixed. Don't think I'll ever be able to take less than 30 in honor now!

Ya it is great.

Also rune of the soldier got fixed so that it now effects all nearby allies when you shout instead of just yourself.

Change to line of warding is nice, being able to put it down without breaking stride whilst being chased is handy.

Anyone else experiencing a bug with pure of voice?  Even when I don't have it traited, Hold The Line always converts a condition.  I've already bug reported it, but I wanted to know if it was widespread or not.
