So I didn't really know how to formulate the headline lol, but what I am trying to say is:

IF YOU COULD CHOOSE 3 GUILD WARS ARMOURS FOR MEDIUM, LIGHT AND HEAVY AND 3 COMMON PIECES TO BE IMPLEMENTED INTO GW2 WHICH WOULD IT BE?

Please no armour from the heroes of GW ^^ Please try to stick with 3 for each class and 3 common pieces.

Here's the choices you can choose from, and links for those of you who haven't played GW before and don't know where to find them:

Mesmer Obsidian, Ritualist obsidian and Elementalist obsidian armour.

I really want to see more mesmer armor, more elegant noble stuff, as well as more tribal/ritualist stuff. Since I find this lacking! Hooses, etc, I am a sucker for corsets and anything burlesque and really wanna see more of it.

I agree with all you choices but would like to add elite kurzick for ritualist and NF endgame for derv can't remember what it was called atm, also bring back mask of the mo zing and destroyer gauntlets

Heavy: Elite Gladiator Warrior, Vabbian, Elite Kurzick Warrior

I can't see Paragon armors fitting in GW2 without the Paragon class.

Medium: Elite Druid Ranger, Elite Luxon Assassin, Elite Canthan Assassin.

We already have a lot of robes and coats for Medium armor.

Light: Normal Kurzick Monk, FoW Monk, Elite Enchanter Mesmer

I like the "open-ness" on normal kurz armor.

Common: Blindfold, Chaos Gauntlets, Slim Spectacles

You can probably tell I like utilitarian, not-too-flashy armor that covers a lot of skin. Women could use more light armor options that aren't just skimpier versions of cool-looking male armor.

Will only comment on Heavy as i pretty much only played my warrior extensively through all campaigns. Other chars that i used to farm were just given max armor of whatever was cheap. Anways the ones i like:

Female Ancient Armor
Female Vabbian Armor
Female Elite Sunspear
Male Ancient
Male Elite Sunspear

Not sure why i like these, but out of all the available armors these were the ones i used most often.

Warrior's Elite Kurzick for soldiers.

Elementalist's Ancient Armor for scholars.

Of course, when Ascended armor comes out, it's initially all going to be ports of FoW armor at an attempt to make another grab at nostalgia, just like they did with the most recent batch of added Ascended trinkets.

It's not armor, but I really want to see the Kormir costume set to show up.

Actually, on second thought, throw up all the costumes onto the TP. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Costume Allow town clothes to be overlaid over armor if desired so we can wear costumes out and about.

It's already been posted multiple times, but seriously, the elite Kurzick warrior armor, for my guardian. That would be beyond tight.

Also, elite gladiator's for my warrior. And necromancer's obsidian for necromancer, of course!

heavy: elite glads (except helmet), elite kurzick

medium: ranger norn and elite canthan assassin

light: necro elite scar patterns, monk labyrinthine tattoos, ele elite iceforged

Heavy: Only warrior armor really fits gw2 unless they bring back paragons. 15k or normal Kurzick, Gladiator, and normal Istani. Kurzick hands down here, but I like both of the others a lot as well.

Medium: Again only ranger armor really fits gw2, altough I guess some of the less "spiky" assassin armor could fit as well. 15k or normal Drakescale, Studded Leather and Canthan. Drakescale is probably my favorite, but I like both of the others quite a bit as well.

Light: Broke these down by class because there are so many.
Monk: 15k or normal Woven, normal Roughspun and of course Obsidian.
Ele: Flameforged and 15k Canthan.
Necro: Initiates
Mesmer: 15k or normal rogue and courtly + elite sunspear.

I absolutely adore all the armors I listed, and really hope they make their way into gw2.

Honestly, I dont know why anet hasnt started porting a lot of these over to gw2, it seems like a perfect gem store item and a virtually unlimited potential moneymaker that doesn't need designing.

Light Armor: Standard Necro Fanatic Armor
Heavy Armor: 15K Platemail
Medium Armor: Primeval Ranger / 15K Sunspear Ranger

The first two simply on the principle of being able to match all the available professions we have with ease. Fanatic armor for necromancers has always given me that 'battlemage' vibe, despite the awkward stature of the Necromancer from GW1. Its lack of flowing robes and the shoulders would probably be appreciated by many. 15K platemail in a GW2 iteration could easily match either the warrior or guardian.

Medium armor choices would be to stem away from the surplus of coats. I remember those two being pretty darn cool, though I never really played ranger much.

Heavy: even though alot of people hated on warrior obsidian, I loved it.

Since GW2 has way too many trenchcoats and ginormously long and huge skirts and buttcapes, I'd aim for maximizing the armor diversity by including armors that try to avoid those styles:

Light Armor: Toss-up between Necromancer Elite Scar Pattern, Monk Flowing, Elite Iceforged, Elite Stormforged, Mesmer Obsidian

Medium Armor: Toss-up between Elite Studded, Elite Druid, Imperial

Heavy Armor: Either Ascalon or Elite Gladiator

Trying to imagine scar pattern on races other than humans. Something like that on a Sylvari, for example, would be pretty cool if done right. Show off more of that potential glow, yeah?

I'm sure Charr players would also like it simply because it isn't another awkward 'cat-in-human-clothes' type deal.

Impossible. I loved every single GW1 armour (aside from the nooby beginner stuff that had the same style as mud ).
