Is creating a party "slightly" broken lately?

A few patches ago I started noticing issues with creating/joining a party:
1. right clicking a player doesn't offer you the option to invite them to your party/join their party
2. even if you are able to invite them, you sometimes end up with a false warning about that player already being in a party (or guild)

I am just curious how wide-spread this is and if there has been any talk about A.Net fixing it?

i often have both of those problems too. sometimes it'll say players are offline or that their name doesn't exist when i try to invite them,  and sometimes the option to invite them doesn't show up when i right click their name. it's a minor annoyance, but i wish they'd fix it.

Khmm, was this yesterday's update? Or have I been just really lucky to not encounter it since?

EDIT:
Tried more making more parties and haven't been having any issues.

Nope, still having issues.
A group of two was looking for 3 more, so me and a friend that were in a group tried to join. No "join party" popped up. We ended having to disband our group and join the group in question individually.

I've seen this issue occasionally. The workaround I use is just tell the person I want to invite to do a " /join "with my character name. of course, if you were one of those folks who put a ton of odd characters or spaces in your character name, it's not gonna work out so good.

I'm sure it's some odd flag not getting set or reset somewhere and ANet hasn't quite tracked it down.

Hex.
[ If you have spaces and 'x' around your name, you ar gonna have a bad time... ]

Did anyone hear anything about this on the official forums?
It really suckshaving losing parties because they need to write in your name, while the other guy can just add himself.

Or if you keep getting false warnings that the party you are trying to join is already full.

I ran into this just the other day.  I had just hopped on and was trying to join a buddy of mine (we were on voice at the time) and it kept telling me that the party I was trying to join (his) was full but he wasn't in a party at all.  Neither the right-click or the /join would work.  Ended up having to both re-log in order for it to finally let us join a party together.  I wonder if it has anything to do with how many people are in the party and if there's been turn-over in the party but it didn't get disbanded...

This has been that way since ever, It happens occasionally to me as well.

Title is kinda misleading, at first glance I thought you were gonna mention something regarding a decent way for forming a party gw2lfg.com style IN GAME :-)

One can always dream I guess :D

I can verify that. Same issues we'd had since release.

I can verify this as well. Drives me up the wall. It's one of the reasons "Polish And Optimisation" is at the top of my list of the things GW2 needs to improve.

The thing is, I don't remember seeing it before and now it's not an occasional thing any more - I get these sort of issues with pretty much any party I create.
It could be that I didn't see this error so often because I didn't form that many parties before, but given the extent of the issue I am seeing now, I should have been hit by it much more often if it was really a thing that went on since the start. And I really just started noticing it a few weeks ago.

Same exact issue with me, but I have been constantly forming parties since release. And now, just in April have I encountered the problems that you are describing. I don't know why it occurs, but then again my game is extremely unstable all the time with constant black screens and crashes, so eh. Another thing I have to deal with haha.
