So I don't see anyone talking about it but  the gloves slot on the equipment panel has one of those show/hide check boxes now, so you can hide your gloves. Kind of cool, just noticed today.

Yep it was on the update notes. Could be interesting with light CoF armor to get a destroyer gauntlet look.

Only because they're giving away the molten gauntlets which go with really nothing other than CoF armor, and it'd be better to hide them than display them with your regular combo (in the event you can't afford the skin you really want?).

Makes no sense other than the above possible use.

Now if we can just get the option to hide torso and leg armor!  No, not like that!  I'd love a thief who is the bad-A, topless MMA-type fighter!  Just pants, boots, and a headband.  B)

I'm not sure how them deleting the photo made any part of my previous post relevant. Kids must not like cats.

At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if anet decided to allow all armor to be made visible manually. What would be the point of armor in the first place?

Full nudity with full armor stats would surely be a prestige / pay item.

Most medium/light glove skins are fairly minor, and some would people would prefer lobbing spells or tossing daggers with their hands unimpeded, in a world where it's reasonable that not everyone wears gloves all the time in the public. It's not nearly the same as charging across the countryside barefoot or unclothed. (Albeit some actual sandals would be nice..)

my question is: is anyone actually using this feature?  i mean, it seems rather pointless.  i can see giving us the option just to give us the option but then where is the hide shoes option?

I see many uses for this feature.

1. One less thing to worry when mixing armor.
2. Some gloves hide parts of your chest armor (medium heritage for example). Not anymore.
3. It is basically another glove skin.
4, Makes cosplaying some characters easier.
5. Convenient for role players that want to take their gloves off sometimes.
