Lowered the drop rate in high-level fractals?

Before fractals coffers from level 20 throwing at least one item yellow and hopefully orange

Of course, both my and your 'evidence' is purely anecdotal, so it means nothing. But it's not just me that feels that 30+ fractals got a boost. Which was needed, because I was pretty sure that <30 fractals gave better rewards than 30/40+

We usually do 20 because it's just not fun past that point.

I'm not sure about the levels below 20s, though. But hey, fractals lower than 20s isn't worth doing anyway. Their difficulty isn't much different from the 20s ones, but they don't offer chance of fractal weapon or already-infused rings. Why bother doing them?

- Time spent with character in game - definitely for the week, possibly lifetime
- Time spent in map - definitely for the week, possibly lifetime
I am also sure they have been stealth-nerfing drops for quite some time.
Why I say this confidently:
At one stage I was spending close to 20 hours a week in-game. At first the majority of that time was on my necro and the balance on my guardian. My Necro was geared with full exotic MF gear and I did the Pentinent area content a LOT the first week. First few days I found average 2 yellows per 3 events. After about 5 days I found less than 1 yellow per 4 events. Coincidentally I switched to my Guardian at that point, who was wearing Full exotic with no magic find. My guardian found the same 2 per 3 events average at first, and there was also a distinct tapering off. This was before the events were dynamic and if anything my guardian had less effective DPS and mob tagging capabilities at that point.
After that I started fractals on both characters and decided to take specific note of loot finds. The same held true. Some time later I started doing fractals with my ranger. My ranger found substantially more rares per sub lvl 10 fractal run than my necro was finding at FOTM10 and my guardian at FOTM 20+, tested over more than 30 runs.
At a later stage I returned both those characters to Orr and could never emulate the same loot rates again, and this time my guardian had full MF gear.

From dungeons to fractals, there's too much of a prevalence of trash loot that nobody can use.
I'd rather have a single gray or white dropping that was worth 3 silver than three or four pieces of blue junk cluttering my inventory. Then they could clear the bloody loot tables and add all the things we want, like rare weapon skins, valuable crafting materials or useful exotics.

You assume everyone wants those items...
There's no point to infused rings if you don't want to do higher-level fractals, and not everyone likes the fractal weapon skins. I sure don't have any interest in getting either item.
