Well, I just want to share some funny thing I discovered today.

when you reflect the last projectile of the chain of a mesmer's scepter autoattack, a clone gets created of your character, no matter the profession.

The cool thing is, you don't have a limit of 3 clones like a mesmer lol.

Here are some screenies, there were more but someone killed a great bunch.

I don't see this as a terrible exploit, if it's not already working as intended.  You need to reflect one of a few specific mesmer clone projectiles (scepter 1 chain 3 and GS 2, that I know of), and the clones only last against the one enemy.  Further, other classes don't have access to the shatters, which is the real threat of clones.  Clones alone deal paltry damage.

I think this has been a "feature" for a few months now already, so I wouldn't exactly bet on this getting fixed "fast".

Yeah, I've seen this reported on the forum before.

The susceptible clones are the least threatening anyway (especially without Sharper Images) so I suspect ArenaNet regards this more as an easter egg than an exploit.

If a mesmer reflects a mesmer's clone creation spell and gets a clone do they count towards that mesmer's clone count? Can they be shattered? Do they benefit from traits?

Why do people misleadingly call this a bug, error or an easter egg? It's working 250% as intended. When you reflect a skill, you get the full effects of that skill reflected - this is the only way this should work. Or should we maybe remove burning from reflected fireballs, say, to prevent a necromancer from ever applying an 'other class' effect? (Yes I cant remember any reflection effects on the necromancer either). Or should we remove bleeding from reflected bleeding skills because that's too overpowered for a guard to have bleeding attacks? What is the point of REFLECTING a skill, then, at all? Make all reflect skill just absorb projectiles instead, cuz that's fair. Or we should just remove conditions and unique effects like clones or virtues from the game altogether, since that's not 'fair' and exploitable.

I'm starting to think this is intentional, it still has not been removed.  Perhaps it's intended.

Fairly confident that the Mesmer doesn't benefit from that clone whatsoever. Can't think of an example atm, but I know that there are similar things in the game.
