Hi, I'm looking for a NA server that's very active in WvW and also has a lot of people doing PvE. Does anyone have a good suggestion or do I have to pick randomly and hope?

What I mean by "active in WvW" is that there's always a lot of people on and they're always trying trying to cap things.

If you like mass zerg fights 24/7 go to any tier 1 server.  TC is good if you're into ERP.

I'd encourage tier 1 servers, there is always a zerg active, but commonly it's a very active battleground.

You might want to find a good Guild that suits you... on one of the Tier 1 servers (in case you missed that last part).
The game is a lot, lot more fun if you can find a really nice guild to play with. In my opinion at least.

What about the skill lag you hear about on Tier 1 servers, or is that just the losers whining and looking for an excuse?

Not really. I have had pretty bad cases of skill lag during large zerg fights (I'm in SoR). That's not to say it happens to everyone but it isn't just an excuse from sore losers.

Only issue with T1 server is the 2+ hrs que time on reset days if you dont get into a BL or EB right away...

But other then on reset day , T1 T2 servers are great , come to Tarnished Coast , great server , friendly , well organized and very strong NA time presence .

But not bad enough to caution people against picking a Tier 1 server?

To those of us playing in the sub-basement tiers, things like skill lag are more fantasy than reality.

It's not bad enough for me to consider changing tiers.

Go to JQ. It's tier 1. People online all the time in wvw. People to fight against 24/7. People to fight with 24/7. And it has the shortest queues of all the tier 1 servers.

You won't find what you're looking for anywhere else.
