If this isn´t the right place to post, please can any moderator change it to the right place? Thank you!

Hello all.

This is a quick guide to show all the champions farm at Frostgorge Sound.

The general start in this route farm is near Drakkar Waypoint (rigth in the north west corner of the map). Here you kill 3 champions as you can see in this image : http://postimg.org/image/y7n4fzwp1/ . Starting by the fish (letter A), then you go to letter B to kill the kodan. Always check the black circle cause the kodan roams around, if you didn´t find it go back to letter B cause he spwans there. After the kodan you have "dog" (it looks like a dog) with is number C.

Well basically most servers only do this 3 bosses, but there is more. On Desolation we do at least 6 bosses each run and sometimes we can manage to do 10 (due to the aetherblade event and quaggan).

http://postimg.org/image/5zqpaclvl/

So after the dog we have the wurm (letter D). You don´t need to use the waypoint to the wurm. Just swim to it. After you kill the wurm get the waypoint to Earthshake Waypoint.

http://postimg.org/image/xjj091tul/

As you can see in the image above run to the location with the E letter to kill the troll. Keep in mind if your computer is slow you might wanna skip this champion.

After the troll get the waypoint to Skyheight Steading Waypoint.

http://postimg.org/image/ywt9zhhcv/

Kill the drake (letter F). Most runs will have only 6 champions (from A to F). But in some runs the quaggan champion also spw (black circle). And while this story live is quicking (queen´s Jubile, you also have the Aetherblade event). The aetherblade event spws 2 champions. Then after that event, another event will appear with another more powerfull champion that rewards a chest. The Aetherblade event is the red circle in the map.

After you are donne here (drake, aetherblade or quaggan) go back do Drakkar waypoint to kill the fish and start the route again.

Medium profit per hour is around 5 gold.

Keep in mind these farms can change from server to server.

I disagree.

Anyway, this farm is... annoying.  I've frequently been unable to load into the waypoints fast enough to get to the champions in time for them to spawn faster then the zerg can kill them.  Which is... ridiculous

Well, it's rather anoying that ppl that actualy play the game almost got no chance to do events on their own now when they simple get past them since everytime there's a zergtrain rolling over it within seconds.
It's as always- offer the ppl some candy and you turn the worst inside out of them, profit above all. Oh, and don't dare to ask them to stop their farm- that will make you a noob, crybaby, [insert scum of any kind you can think of], etc.
Though i appreciate the effort to make "normal" play more attractive and stop ppl from running CoF p1 like mad, this turned out so wrong in a redicoulus short time.

I did this for a few days, never again, didn't get anything worth over 1 gold in 150+ boxes (other than lodestones)

Except only two of the champs in this route are actually tied to events. Not to mention the events themselves last long enough for you to get there (guaggan has really high toughness).

If you're referring to the ember farm is cursed shore, Anet is going to address that. Loot won't be nerfed but it wasn't their intention to have it be more beneficial to fail an event.
That said, in that very same post Colin made NO mention of bans and made NO mention of Anet's desire for people to stop. So get it while its good.

As the OP says, you might have to skip the champs you have to WP to if your machine is slower. I sometimes miss the troll because my load screens betray me. That still leaves you with 3 icebrood and the wurm and the aetherblade event is up long enough for you to port down there before the first champ spawns.

I myself don't really get exotics either, but that's not where the money comes from. Are you vendoring all your blues, greens and rares (assuming u don't salvage for ectos).
And with each bag holding at least 5s, combined with selling the gear that the bags hold and the champs drop you really should be making money.

If that's your only goal, sure but it really is about the money. As I told the person above, if you're vendoring everything you'll make the gold.

Even if it's about the money it seems pointless.  Running for about two-three hours gave me a grand total of 2-3g after selling all the blues, opening all the boxes and selling all the greens.  All this really does, along with the "ember farm" in the cursed shores, is fool people into believing they are doing something productive, when all they're really doing is screwing over everyone else who wants to do events.  Heaven forbid you actually want to do those events in the cursed shores now, and if you're running around in frostgorge and want to try to tackle that champ quaggan/troll event to test out your skill, prepare for a lot of hate because you're just a troll who wants to grief the zerg, even if you didn't know any better.

There's no way in hell you only had 2-3G after hours of farming after vendoring all blues and greens and opening the boxes. It's literally not possible unless you're spending just as fast as you're earning, which would just be stupid.

3 hours is less time than I spent yesterday and I didn't have a single exotic drop and only got two rares and kept the cores. I made 8 gold. You're either lying or were doing something very wrong.

As for the ember farm, no point in whining about it as it will be changed. You either hop on the bandwagon or roll with the punches till that particular fight is over so relax.

And have you ever really wanted to solo the quaggan or troll? Really?

I just want to point out, we agree. The game is more fun and exciting when defeating things and working together with other players is rewarding. Champions have always been an issue in this area, and it’s why we addressed it, we’re continuing to pursue other areas in the game in upcoming releases as well.
That being said: the behavior we want is people join up together to play events, but they want to succeed those events and win them, we never want to be in a state where intentionally failing an event is more rewarding or better for players. We’re not going to take a giant hammer to champion loot, we love it and love seeing people joining together to do events. We do want to make succeeding events what the game is about. We also do want to make some events in the future even more challenging, and in return more rewarding for succeeding.
You will see changes over time to help directly encourage players to always want to try and succeed events, we don’t ever want to create conflict between players who want to progress an event chain, and those who want to fail it. It’s bad for the game and not what Gw2 is all about.

You also get 6-10 silver every box you open.  I kept all the karma pots to keep track of how many I was getting.  I had 95 boxes.  That's ~5.5 gold in coin, plus from the boxes ~90 green items (~1.3 gold), 1 or 2 gold items (.4 gold), and 1 or 2 exotics (4 gold). Plus you get one blue item to drop along with the box (.6 gold)

That's around 11.8 gold for a few hours work.

95 boxes.  That's more than "a few hours" and more like half the day.

Maybe I was only there for an hour, since I only had 20 or so boxes in total.  Regardless, I'm pretty freaking positive I went from 3-4g in total to like 6g, and that's it.

Of course, I seem to have the worst luck possible when it comes to MMOs, so all the boxes probably only gave me 6s, and I know for a fact I only ever got like four or so rares (no exotics ever) from the 50-60 or so boxes I've opened in total.  The blues and greens I NPC, and I salvage the rares for the ectos rather than sell them on the trading post for anywhere between 14-20s

So in the end you can have your math that "proves" that it's impossible to not make 50g a day doing this stuff, but in my experience, it's a waste of time.

Oh don't get me wrong I was making money, albeit slowly, I made a total of about 30 gold in those few days, doesn't mean I want to continue to do it though, with big mind numbing should come big reward, for me it was just a opportunity cost thing, by farming I get some gold but not enough to justify not using my brain and rotting it away.

I think some of you forget about Magic Find. Not everyone has the same amount, so the loot and projected profit will vary because of it.
