Hi all! I'm running the cookie cutter 30/0/0/10/30 build and for fights when there is possibility that I have to go to range, I use longbow on swap.

While it doesn't really matter for my group/pubs, does adding longbow to the rotation improve DPS or should I just stick to swapping only on need?

My standard DPS rotation is Axe+Mace (2, 4, 111, ...), and never swapping to Longbow until I need to regen. Just for fun, I recently started swapping to Longbow to do F1 burst, Heal to recover adrenaline, 3 to blast might, the other longbow skills, swap then back to Axe+Mace.

I was also thinking of running GS instead of Axe+Mace if there is no need to knockdown anything.

I'm not running with speedrun groups so we usually don't cap might, sometimes I also try to lift the banner and blast might/chaos armor.

If you want to maximize DPS you should really only be swapping when you need it. There is no DPS gain to bringing it into the rotation.

its not a dps gain, but it is more fun and active then auto attacking.

If you notice your group isn't hitting 25(ish) stacks of might consistently, you could go axe/warhorn+longbow and at least one banner, use the fire field and hit all 4 of your blast finishers (bow, warhorn, banner, pick up banner+#5) and start your group off with some nice might stacks right at the start of each fight.
You can then incorporate longbow into a bit of a might stacking rotation where, once every 20someodd seconds, you swap to LB, use F1, #3, swap back to axe/worhorn and use #5, pick up and smash down banner. The banner smash puts weapon swap on cd, so make sure to do it after swapping back to your axe (unless you want to stay in longbow, though you'll miss out on the warhorn blast as a result). Including FGJ, you're providing pretty much 100%up time on 12stacks of might. If you're group doesn't quiet need as much, cut the banner slamming out of the rotation since it's a time consuming pain in the butt.
This is something I like to do in pugs groups that don't have much might. It's a personal damage loss, but all the might is definitely a overall group dps gain, and I find it's a bit more interesting to play this way.

I've been using a 30/0/0/10/30 Axe+Mace / Longbow build for a while and I really enjoy the playstyle it offers. I mostly play the open world PvE, but sometimes use it for dungeons with guildies (more casual, not speed runs). The build seems to work pretty well for most areas. It feels like it offers a good degree of mobility and ranged attacks (Axe #3, Mace #5, LB #1-5), while still providing plenty of DPS and some group support

As for the weapon swapping, I do it on a very situational basis. If I need more ranged attacks, I swap to LB, but most of the time I have the axe+mace in hand. If the current groups seems lacking in might stacks, I will switch to LB after my adrenaline is charged up and fire off F1 for the fire field and then use blast finishers for might stacks.

Using the Heal to immediately recover adrenaline is the same tactic I use after using F1. However, there are some situations where incoming damage dictates that I may need to use the heal skill for replenishing health instead of to refill adrenaline.

I normally run 1 Banner - usually strength or discipline depending what other warriors in the group are bringing and whether the foes can be critted. With the Longbow F1 fire field, and 3 blast finishers (LB #3, Banner, pickup Banner #5), it's usually pretty easy to get several might stacks up.

For the other utilities I usually run "For Great Justice!" and "Shake it Off!". If there aren't enough conditions to worry about, I'll swap SiO for either another banner (if there aren't other warriors bringing them), or something else more useful for the specific location.

Just a curious thought here, what are the mile markers you use with the axe/mace & lb as far as the 30/0/0/10/30?

longbow definately can maximize dps through finishers. combustion shot is a field. therefore using that followed by arcing arrow (this must be shot at close range on yourself and foe for area of might). swap weapon and fire field still will be burning. stay inside field caused by cs. eviscerate or tremor is a finisher. this is a slow developing combo and arcing arrows can be bypassed if u feel the need. main thing is obtaining fire aura and who knows u might pick up other auras from other players . to do this u,have to start out with bow gaining adrenalin then swap to axe with discipline at 30 u can get back to bow yelling DANGER!!!!
