Guild Wars 2 is now more than one year old, and Gamestatistics, which makes various surveys on videogame topics, would like to gather some opinions from the players.

Thus, current as well as former Guild Wars 2 players are welcome to tell us their opinion about the game :

Participate in Guild Wars 2 survey

(Duration : 10 - 15 minutes, available in english / french / spanish)

This link will be available until September 18th.

Note that this is NOT an official survey from the developers, even if the results will be sent to them. A public report of these results will also be made available later. Also, this message has been published in other places (and in other languages), since we are aiming to take all kind of opinions about Guild Wars 2 into account.

Thanks to the moderators of this forum for their authorization to post this message; and thanks in advance to all the Guild Wars 2 players.

Answered it for you and provided some feedback on the survey in the end. I've had to make plenty of surveys myself so I know what a pain it can be getting people to answer them. Good luck.

The survey has some length to it, but the questions felt generally pretty even handed overall. I am curious to know what some of the outcomes from this survey will be. And thankfully no active content, NoScript didn't even blink at me. :)

Way too many questions.  The web site is too slow as well.

I felt that the survey was incomplete in some way.

It was a little lengthy sure, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. Overall I enjoy the game, but I will always have my problems with this game. The loss of dedicated healers I feel was a mistake. I also wish they would get rid of the downed state, add gvg/guild halls and more spvp modes.

It was a good survey.  I enjoyed taking it.  (There were some spelling and grammatical mistakes, if that sort of thing matters for surveys.)

People thought that was long? 0.o

There are a few other questions that I would have loved to see ask, but I thought it covered some good ground. Tossed a few comments into the feedback section though those we mostly related to odd ways of wording things.

Just so you know, I think some of your English translations need work.  I have no idea what "Implication in a guild" is supposed to be as an activity.  Livewise, there are a few other confusingly worded questions or agree/disagree statements in there.

Not a bad survey, though it could have used a little more fine-detail in some of the questioning (eg it asked if you like PvE, PvP, etc, but not why --- balance, performance, etc).  I would still be curious to see the final results.

Question wether the questionaire was boring is kinda pointless.Because if i was bored i wouldnt make it to the end making the info you get from that question useless.

IMO the survey was executed quite well. Didn't feel lengthy to me.

Although I disagree with you about healers, as I really don't like that particular part of "Holy Trinity", I strongly agree about spvp modes and gvg and guildhall. Guildhalls especially. About downed state... I think it's cool mechanic to have in pve. In pvp, not so much. Way too annoying for me and really off-putting.

Why did you ask about the amount of dollars we spent on the gem shop specifically? A lot of people playing this game don't have (american) dollars as currency.

I do agree. In pve I don't really see an issue with it. I just don't think it belongs in spvp or wvw.

Objective survey, but didn't have room in some areas to elaborate. Ie., it asked to rate the leveling experience, which, as gameplay stands, was fantastic, but the actual amount of levels I felt was too high. The time to max level was fine, but the last 20 levels just seemed a bit pointless to me. Like there was no progression in those levels, so it begged the question, why did they exist in the first place. Why not extend the length of each level, but increase the importance of each level at the same time?

I couldn't articulate this in the survey :( So I wrote "4".

I would have liked to have seen the PvE choices of Personal Story, Dynamic Events and Exploration broken up instead of lumped together.  Rating those together as one thing is misleading, since I really dislike the PS, but like the DEs and exploration aspects of this game.

Also, any know what was meant by "implication in a guild"  ?

Haha, the survey was excellent and a great length, but yesterday the website was really, REALLY slow.  That probably explains it.

Indeed.  A choice of currency would have been nice.  I just made a guess...

Another point.  The question about the living story bits, I'm missing an option there.  A neutral option.  Enjoyed a lot/Enjoyed quite much are the same in my book....

As someone said above, personal story/exploration/events should have been split up. Other than that.... Why the hell was Canada not an option for nationality?

Because there are no "Canadian" servers.  There are US and EU servers and the EU servers are split up in "international" servers and a few language servers, such as German and French.  Not exactly sure which other languages were there as I prefer international...

Answered the topic. But had to put 0 into the amount of money spent on gems, since it was the last 3 months(If I remember correctly). If it had been since start I think you'd be shocked by my answer :P Haha. Good survey thought, felt a bit incomplete but generally it was good.
