Some goofing around in PS.  I didn't actually understand what the brush was capable of until I start blotching black on the right side.  >.>
I'm not really sure what I was trying to do...

I'll probably adjust the left side to look less "sketchy"

just keep trying or look at tutorials (i learned it from a book, but it still isn't perfect)
the charr is really good, how did you add the color?

here is my latest work, it grew from a sketch between my notes of math during the exams :p

I use artweaver, I've never looked at a tutorial (I'm kinda stubborn) so I do what seems to work , mainly just layering colours on the original sketch, then overlaying the original image again (sometime multiple times so the outline is clear) and then add shadow, which is usually by far the worst part of any picture I colour, I should probably take some classes, but with my Dissertation in soon I should really focus on that

also I have been considering investing in a graphics tablet because using a mouse can sometimes be rather clumsy, but then I've never used the tablet so I don't know whether I would find it easier

A mothers day gift i made using photographs, photoshop and calligari truespace for the 3d:

A work i did for my fathers farewell presentations where i illustrated a couple of his colleagues according to their personality and task. Wellington was/is a supply manager and i also think he had some kind of connection to south america but i might as well be making that up (yes i realize the opacity is bad):


A logo for a hobby mmorpg project me and toroquin was working on for a long time.


It was based on a Pod model we created all the way from toroquins original concept art to my animated model. (this version is untextured)


The model was heavily simplified since the current goal we had was to successfully create an animated character that worked in game.

For anyone who isn't familiar with Redwall, that particular picture is Matthias from second season of the Redwall cartoon show, Mattimeo. I didn't pull it out of thin air ;)

Just cannot justify opening my own thread, so yes this is GW related. Was stuck waiting around for a contractor today, so I put photo references together, dragged out the pen and ink and gouache box. They say music tames the savage sylvari (well they do...those guys over there ->)



I think it turned out okay but the shadows are a bit floaty so the figures don't look solid. Something to work on! Always something to work on.

Thanks :D It was pinned up on the wall. I did a rough sketch a few weeks ago, then I went on spring break and came back last Wednesday to finish it up. It was different than when I first saw it, so most of the shadowing was done on my own.
