One set for each zone, would be an achievement to successfully completing every dynamic event in the zone.

I would also like to see a set for each profession.  Kills as a ranger, events completed as a guardian, etc.

Total Legendary, Champ & Vet kills would be nice.

This would set up situations where you are hoping some events to fail to chain off other events. So then you're incentivized to grief people trying to actually complete the events. It's similar to the situation with Lyssa farming. Maybe if it was limited to "complete the capstone of each meta-chain" type thing. (I.E. kill the centaur leader in Kessex, etc.)

Please no more achievements. Half of my guild seems to be endlessly grinding them out. The game is now a checklist to them; the fun we used to have is getting scarcer and scarcer.

They should make an achievement for not checking the achievement page for X amount of active play time.
It would drive people F'ing nuts.

Maybe that's what they consider fun. Sometimes when I play games, I like to do achievements. I've never been keen on "Find every treasure in the game" kind of achievements. I like the ones that make me play different like "Get 10 headshots in a row with a handgun" or "Take out 3 enemies with melee without being hit." Made Uncharted pretty fun.

In this game, they did make me try all the jumping puzzles and I realised some were actually quite fun. I'm not going to go out my way to get 1000 hammer kills but if one makes me explore a new aspect I've not seen before, I'm all for it.

Funny because I enjoy completing achievements and getting the rewards much more than I did when they were achievement alone.  It made me care more about crafting, jumping puzzles, world completion, living story, etc.

Though some of the achievement are very grindy.  Those I pretty much ignore unless I'm close to finishing one.

Sadly I feel like most of the achievement were an afterthought and more time should have been put in designing them given their prominence.

I wouldn't mind having achievements for these:
- Number of events you've completed
- Number of times you've defeated each world boss (separately tracked for specific bosses)

They wouldn't even have to reward (m)any points to the tiers, or keep them more open-ended similar to how the salvage achievement works.  I'd mostly like to see these just to know how many times I've done these things, and possibly even have a title available for them.  "I'm about to kill Maw for the 1000th time.  That Maw Slayer title will finally be mine!"  :D

I'd like them to add armor sets for achievements, like they did with the radiant and hellfire skins.

there IS an achievement for how many events you completed.

i would like to see actual skillbased achievements added. not this checklist grinding. there is nothing interesting in killing a few hundred enemies with one weapon type, and the only "achievement" is the fact you managed to sit through that.

I'd mostly forgotten about the Emergency Response Hero achievement because I maxed it out so long ago.  What I'm looking for is something that is more open-ended, along the lines of how the Agent of Entropy works.  Alternately, they could track events by region or map to give it more granularity.

More achievements? No. Achievements, in the way they are implemented, actually speak against the core design philosophy they originally had. The achievements are actually a huge checklist making you not play the game but rather run through it with blinders applied tunnel-vision. I would love if they delete them all together.

I think achievements are sort of a hook to GW franchise. Lot of people kept on playing GW just to get GWAMM or to complete HOM  or to get Phoenix emote.

Now, how and when these achievements are implemented is a whole different discussion. I'd like to see ANET stopping practices of adding achievements that are counterproductive to the goal at hand. For example, Sunken treasure achievement in Teq. It's BS. What purpose does it actually serve for the kill? It should never have been added to achievement list. It seems like that ANET just wanted to add it to complete the even look of the achievements panel for Teq. That said, Power Play or the Above the Waves achievements actually made sense.

Maybe ANET can come up with more mega events that do not force people to manipulate overflows or guest other servers to succeed. And add new achievements and rewards to those.
