Trust me, if someone sent you 100g on accident you'd know it was because they'd whisper you begging you to give it back.

So yes, you should keep it, and send a thank you letter back.

It's a rare thing to find, but there are actually some people who like to do random acts of kindness. I think you just happened to be one to receive it.

It's also possible they meant to send it to someone else who had the same name as you, but with one of the vowels accented.

It's happened before to people I know, except they were trying to mail each other and sent it to the wrong person due to accents.

You should be able to pm them in game and ask "what up?" and I would just send it back without ever taking the gold out of the email.

Accept it unless they ask for it back. Provide a week or so grace period, after which it's irreversibly yours. Just be reasonable. Considering you started this topic in the first place OP I'm guessing you're a courtious individual. That or you're worried about getting sicked by Dhumm (gah I miss him).

just keep it in the mail for now imo, treat it as a 2nd storage for the off chance that they do ask for it back (since there is no way to check sent mail they might not know who they sent it to and may take them a few days or w/e to figure it out)

shame that all I get is gold seller mail

Send a message back asking if it was intentional. If they reply freaking out, send it back.

If they don't reply, send it to me.

I have send a mail to the wrong person in the past. When I right clicked on a item and clicked on send by mail, it filled in a name that I didn't even knew. But i was too quick and send it anyway. Luckely I found the name by doing the same action and asked him/her to please send it back. And he/she did. Was very glad with that.

My point is, maybe you can check if it's intentional or not. You don't seem like a person the wrongfully take someone's money. But it's up to you ofcourse. :)

I have received items from an unknown person before.  I promptly contacted them to see why they had been sent.  Turned out that they had accidentally highlighted my name somehow which put it in the send-to field of the mail.  They were trying to send the items to someone else.  I promptly returned the items and everyone was happy.

It's possible the gold you received was similarly intended for someone else.  I recommend contacting the sender to clarify the situation.
