The question and the title are one in the same. Elaborate as much as you can.

I don't feel at all. And nope I'm not trolling that's my serious answer. It doesn't matter how hard ANET tries I will never be interested in the story and press "skip" button every chance I get. I come to play, hopefully interesting encounters, zerging is geting old mind you, but I still prefer it to watching a cliche ridden curtscene I don't really care about.

If anything I feel bad from a metagame perspective. I realize making a new HUB takes work, if (and only if) LA is destroyed for good, that means Anet has spent resources on making a place that ultimately serves just for merchants to stand in. I'd prefer if they had spent those resources in something that can be played.

I don't really feel any sad at all. It'll probably be rebuilt some time anyway. I wish it was instanced and you had to team up with like 20 players or something, that would be real cool. It would feel a bit different than just a massive zerg. Oh well.

Even though it's a massive lagfest, I like what the Scarlet Alliance has done with the place :) Especially the ominous drill on the background while fighting mobs in the streets is a nice backdrop.

This was actually one of the few things I expected gladly and I was awake to see the changes! It's really great! I welcome it!

Yeah, i like it too.  Sucks to see LA gone, as it was a pretty beautiful and unique place, but the show must go on.  Zerging around the new LA seems to be alot of fun, so its good stuff.

I just wish we could've put up more of a fight. Aren't we basically leaders of the pact? We could've sent a few ships to LA in advance.

Though seeing the city burn to the ground was pretty incredible. Quite stirring/exciting to help survivors escape, and to avenge those who didn't =).

I feel like ArenaNet listen to their players, i've mention it several times, that if GW2 is a living world, why is it Lion's arch was never attack, and it is in ruins now. so, i am happy.

ps, also i like this new type of "dungeon" with no players limit , so many ppl simply by entering portal! weeeeeeeeeeeeee ahem :P i think i mention it before as well :P Thank you ArenaNet for listening.

I was kinda suprised we did not get to defend more than this. We basicly spawn in a ruined city, where were we when this happened?
The destruction is pretty well done btw, I did not get too much time in the zerg fest because it was a bit late when the patch went live.

The cinematic reminded me of Starcraft in content and quality.  There was some serious downscaling in quality there.  Haven't been able to play much of the actual content, though.

Personally, I think constantly trashing LA for the "shock" factor is making me numb to it, much in the same way I start skipping the massive explosions in the Michael Bay movies because there are no plot points worth paying attention to during them.  I never really hung out there enough to care about it.

Deathwing blitzing the 1-60 areas and nuking people was a rare, more spectacular unicorn than this.

Doing this to LA is like walking in and finding out they've cordoned off a section of your office for a 'special event' that just disrupts your routine in an unpleasant, shoehorned manner, leaving you wondering when they'll finish up, put all the furniture back and let you go about your daily grind.
It's okay to enjoy crap if you're willing to admit it's crap.
Every patch is like ArenaNet walking out onto the stage of the International Don't Kitten Up Championship, and then proceeding to shiv itself in the stomach 30 times while screaming "IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD! IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!"

Kinda disappointed overall. Not like I wasn't expecting some kinda zergfest, but I was hoping for a Battle For Lion's Arch-esque instance.

The only thing I'm satified with is how the area looks, even if I have to run it on low gfx currently.

So I logged in and found myself trapped in a wall.  Had to WP out.

Whole area just seems full of random overworld mob spawns.  Graphically it's nice.

Functionally, it offers nothing.  It disrupts my play since there's no longer one city with both crafting stations and the asura gates to the mists/borderlands.

It's neat graphic-wise, but god-awful gameplay wise.

And yet people go "oh how nice the world is changing!"  Comments like that make me think that most of the audience is like playing GW2 like some sort of High Fantasy Second Life and not an MMO.

Mind you, that this is the same group of people who wanted some random dude with a puny sword or some magic to go kill a legendary dragon, until they decided the war wasn't going so well and decided to give you cannons and mech suit.  Its amazing how they scale back the technological advancements when its convenient.  But whatever, i think its still a cool zone to get mad lewtz from.

Why would you need those gates? You can port to the mists/WuvWuv from any place in the world (outside instances).

I don't know. I've been disconnected no less than 7 times in the last 20 mins with lag spikes of 10-20 seconds during the brief intervals I actually manage to get on. The game is about a year and a half old and Anet still doesn't seem to understand what happens if you stuff the entire server population in one area...

This.

It's not a huge deal, it's just a small logistic annoyance I'll get used to. I don't need to use a crafting station all that often and there are some in (some) WvW maps obviously.  It's just this thing does nothing for me.

I did the daily and then logged out. Didn't even care enough to check it out. Now, since I am currently levelling a character in Ascalon (and will be doing that for the next few weeks) and already have my other characters in the locations they need to be in (a guy at the Queensdale train, a guy in Maguuma and a guy in Shiverpeaks - all for easy access to the daily), I don't see the need to visit LA in the near future.

A huge loot pinata, even better than the TM. I'm drowning in stuff.

Good fun with guildies, and quite interesting to roam around in.

And Vigil Keep is actually a better hub than LA was, although not much to look at.

As a story, I feel nothing, because I have no interest in the story, the dialogue, plot, etc in GW2 is like every other computer game - like a particularly bad children's movie, so I don;t follow it.

As an update, it seems another mindless zerg fest, which outside of rare exceptions (the champs you had to solo in Queen's Jubilee for example) just reinforces the perception that GW2 may have the most frequent content updates of any MMO, but they are also the most shallow, with the weakest gameplay.

Maybe it's cuz I'm a girl, but I have TONS of feelings about this patch! I went into L.A. and was honestly dismayed at the fiery wreckage. The horrible screams in the distance, the sense of zergy panic, and the orange-red lighting made my heart beat quite quickly!
After a few times in, I got accustomed to the chaos, but it's still so interesting to see L.A. in ruins. You can stand in a place and say, "This was the bank, look at it now!" Crazy.  It's not like they just made a pile of indistinguishable rubble. You can identify the city, but it has crashed and burned.

I also really liked that all the NPCs escaped and can be found in the refuge camps. I was worried about them!

The events are cool....not the defend ones but helping Urmaug and his buddies, and the moas, and the lighthouse family. Very personal.

Great living story! I love it.

I like how many people are saying the best part of this patch is, like the Queen's Jubilee, the loot stimulus.

Yeah, thats most definitely an issue with your PC, home network, or internet service provider, as is usually the case, since Neither me, my guild, or anybody else i know is having these issues.

Thats sad, but i love killing stuff, so its naturally a pretty fun zone for me.  An i totally dig the backpiece.

Well, its an ARPG.  If there wasn't TONS of loot, then it would be like eating a PB&J sammich without peanut butter.  Sure, it can be done, but it'll end up tasting funky, unless you're an Aussie with some Nutella substitute...
