Hello all. After playing the game for 3 months I decided to buy some gems to enhance my gaming experience. I needed 1800 gems for server transfer to my friends realm and other gems for bank slots, makeover kits, e.t.c. Anyway I bought 3 Cards of 2000 gems from a site because friend told me is cheaper there. Here is the story:
I payed with paypal and they call me and asked me for vital informations, as id photo, credit card photo, paypal details, e.t.c. I have provided them with the paypal recipe and with a photo of credit card but I cutted out the middle numbers and expire date, only to see my name on it. They kept asking for more information and when I told them thats enough, cancel the order, they told me ok and they sent me 3 pictures with 3 GW2 cards and a code on them.
I opened the game and gone to the Trading post to redeem the codes but guess what..I got error on all 3 codes. I tripple checked the codes to make sure I enter them correctly and they were indeed correct. I tried multiply times to enter them, restart the game, e.t.c. but with no result. After that I contacted the GW2 customer support and they answered me in less than 10 minutes asking me for more information, like where did I bought the cards, e.t.c. I provided them all the info about my purchase and I also sent them the pictures of the cards I got from allcdkey.com.
In the same time I open a dispute in my paypal saying that the product that I received is significant different from what I ordered (that was the closest choice I had) and I sent message to the seller that the codes are not working. Before I make the dispute I tried to contact with them from online support but with no success. Anyway, allcdkey company sent me an e-mail asking me to provide them screenshots that prove that the codes are not working. I did that for all 3 codes I got.
All these happened in a matter of 30 minutes but since then and after 6 hours nothing else happened. No response from Anet and no response from Allcdkeys.
What you advice me to do? I have the option to escalate the dispute and let paypal decide, but how paypal will decide? Will they ask me for more info? What other steps should I do to solve my problem?
Needles to say that in the future if I wanna buy gems again I ll do so from Anet because I don't want to get through all these again.
