While I liked the jungley stuff, I hated the original wastes areas. Dry, bland and these days after Fallout's coming back and the ten billion games with dusty wastelands in them since, I'm not a fan of bland areas. I never finished Nightfall, so I went back to it last year and that was even a bit hard to dive back into.

I can only hope they spice it up!

Are we? Is there proof that Anet have said we're getting jungle zones?

I did like the jungle areas and I hope they can make them look as lush and beautiful as they were in GW. There was even a jungle zone you only ever had to enter to complete vanquisher title.

Well seeing as Mordremoth quite clearly woke up in those areas (seems to be around Magus Falls) it is quite likely that we will go there.

Likely, but as likely as going to the crystal dessert as well...

Remember, all the previous events only showed the progress of waking up an elder dragon, with the destruction cause in the progress... While Tyria just suffered from the attacks, it is not a far stretch that they are pissed off about Mordremoth, as they were with Zaithan who was actively getting further and further in the world...

However, if another elder dragon decides to go visit Tyria in LS 2.0, it is not a far stretch either... Now all of them just woke up - that is all we know... For what we know, LS 2.0 might indeed focus on Mordremoth at first, but if he stays where he is right now while Kralkartorrik decides to go harras Ascalon some more, then Tyria has to set his priorities straight and take down Kralkatorrik instead since it is a more potent threat...

I am with the people who think that we are going to the Maguuma Wastes though, but you gotta remember that all of this does not immediately mean that we are off to throw all of the forces into the west...

Can you provide us with a link to the data mined material that indicates a new zone?  That type of stuff usually is not found through data-mining.

I'm expecting either the Jungle zone or the Crystal desert.  From a programming point of view, the crystal desert would make the most sense, as there is already a portal in the world that leads to a closed-off zone near Ebonhawke.  The gatekeepers there could restrict access to players whom have not yet completed the final dungeon to prevent story spoilers.

There are actually several portals leading towards Maguuma as well, one of the most prominent is just closed off by a non-completed bridge, which should be quite easy to fix.

There is also a glitch that can help you get into Fort Vandal in Brisban Wildlands. From there it's a portal :).

A! Btw! Not to forget! I think we might get Jormag first... at least imo... there are also some hints throughout the game. Like in PS a norn says  : "We are happy to help. Many believe Jormag will be next! " or something like that... It was during the part where you go to the tomb of king reza in orr or whatever. So we might see that first and mordremoth a bit later.

I would say it is unlikely that we go for Jormag now, seeing as Mordremoth is most likely a much bigger threat.
None of the other Dragons are actively threatening the major races of Tyria, but Mordy woke up and got super-charged quite close to two Capitals.

Wat.

You do realize what Scarlet has cause under the wing of Mordremoth, is not much different as to what Jormag has done to the North way earlier?

You know, wrecking homes and landscapes? Creating constant threats?

But Jormag itself is currently not really that much of a direct threat.
It WAS a threat to the Norn (and Kodan) but since they have fled south and Jormag haven't really followed it is not really a immediate threat.

The reason we went after Zhaitan first was due to it directly launching an large-scale attack on Lion's Arch, none of the other Dragons have done something as big as that yet, and thus while they are still dangerous, they don't pose direct threats right now.

Mordy on the other hand basically woke up in backyard of the Grove and Rata Sum AND was fed a massive amount of magic right there at the start, which would more or less mean it is already ready to make its move.

In the end who cares which one of the dragons is awaken , i just hope (scratch that i PRAY) that they add new zone(s) and that they will be lvl 80 i`m sick of Orr.....

Btw.....Scarlet caused so much havoc that neither Zhaitan, Jormag and the rest of the crew cant came close for a long time......and all that crap just to awake another dragon :) !!!
Really i`m getting to old.....or this is very see trough writting/directing on Anet`s part !!!

There is no link that shows that it is next.
But we KNOW that it is Mordy, and we know where it woke up, and we know that it is close to two capitals. We also know that it got a rather nice power-boost due to the Leyline.
Thus it is a rather logical step to assume that the next Dragon would be Mordremoth and subsequently also Maguuma.

I hate so much that you're right. Scarlet felt thousands of times more dangerous than Zhaitan ever did.

I thought we were going back to GW1 Kryta, Shiverpeaks, and Ascalon too, that obviously didn't happen.

Why should Maguuma be any different?

Could be a good reason to revisit the Bloodstones.  Somehow in 250 years they fell off the map entirely in spite of 3 having been discovered and playing a pretty major role in the plot of Prophecies/EotN.  Not to mention Zinn's Lab and who was behind the reprogramming of the golems to assassinate key leaders from the various regions anyways?

Ok, just like we know Jormag is in the North, Krakawhatever is in part of Ascalon, Primordius is why the Asura moved thus he is also out there, we also have Bubbles lurking around.

Also just because the cut scene and what someone supposedly data mined does not mean it is Mordremoth, nothing says that a dragon can wake up in 1 area and stay there, it is possible they move.  Also if they have Mordy in Maguuma what becomes on Primordious?  From what I understand he in in the Maguuma area.

So when it comes to Anet I will not believe it is one specific dragon until it is released and regardless what it is we will not see it for quite some time.  Next patch is a recap of the Scarlet line and they already said it will be a small patch.  They then have the in WvWvW starting at the end of the month.  After that sometime maybe in April will be the balance patch. Plus with a few games releasing expansions (WoW, Diablo) and new ones coming out (TESO) I dont see them releasing anything like a new dragon until the earliest of June or July (after the newness of the other games starts to wear off).

My guess is in the next few months they will announce an expansion (not a living story).  That expansion will most likely be set to release around the 2 year anniversary.   So for GW2 I believe it will be a slow summer, maybe a few small things being released. possibly starting a small living story in May or June that will lead up to the expansion.

So regardless of what dragon was shown, I do not think we will fully find out who it is for a few months.

Next patch is not a recap, it is an epilogue that talks about what happened and where we will move from there.
And we KNOW that it is Mordremoth since it has been confirmed directly by ArenaNet (Colin himself no less) in this post: https://forum-en.gui...rst#post3714452

Of course it is possible that they move. But they do seem to stay in the same general area.
Jormag is still up north, where it awoke.
Kralkatorrik is still somewhere around Ascalon/Crystal Desert.
Primordus is still underground where it woke up.
Zhaitan stayed on Orr.

We actually have no information whatsoever about where Primordus might be hiding. There were talks early on about it having something to do with turning Maguuma Jungle to Maguuma Wastes but that was never confirmed. It did wake up under the Shiverpeaks (much more south than Jormag) after all, so it is fully possible that it is still there.

It actually wasn't actually scarlet's fault that she woke up Mordy, he actually possessed her when she enter the isolation chamber. He was the voices that she heard during the night. So to sum this thing up, Mordy possesses scarlet for his own good to disrupt the ley lines to wake himself up. I kinda start to look down on her, despite the whole "Massive LA mutilation" thing.
