We extinguished the molten alliance, blew up the aetherblades, poisoned the toxic alliance, and finally killed scarlet in what to me felt like five seconds. . . But that doesn't stop what's coming from the wastes west of Rata Sum.

Scarlets drill hit the ley line and as a result, woke up Mordremoth, the jungle dragon.  This is a big giveaway of who/what were fighting next, so let's get ready for more elder dragon corruption.
First, though, I would like to share some info on what this next season would include.
First releases:
This idea just came into my mind a while back after seeing Mordremoth wake up, but Caithe is taking a stroll through Brisbane wildlands when something starts stalking her.  It turns out to be a corrupted sylvari from Mordremoth, which hurts Caithe before running off.  You go to a relief camp to see if she is ok, but when you see her, Mordremoth does his thing and begins to corrupt the west most edge of the region.  New enemy's come out, we'll call these, I dunno, what should these be called? So they start taking over and you must push them back from their foothold in Brisbane wildlands.
This is where the real action begins. After you push them back, a whole new area is available to explore, and you must explore and kill minions and help set up relief camps around the place.  The general landscape is a jungle, but with corrupted vines and trees all over the place.
Second releases:
Another area is opened, and while like the first one all corrupted and evil, it mainly focuses underground where some dredge rebels have set up camp and need help fending off the new threat. The underground caves have many entrances and they all lead towards a single chamber in the very end with a boss like the Shadow of the Dragon you fight in the sylvari tutorial.
In the release after that ANOTHER area is revealed being Magnus falls, and surprise surprise, ANOTHER TREE!!! Malyck is there and if you did the personal story with him in it, he will thank you for coming to help deal with the new threat. Somewhere in the area there is a big canyon that was where Mordremoth awoke.
Final releases:
The last new area is accessible and it is Maguuma Wastes, where Mordremoth's corruption is strongest, and where there are for some reason inquest trying to use his dragon energies for their own purposes. Very old asuran buildings can be seen dotted around the landscape, and amongst the thick cypress that covers the entire region is a massive wall of thorns that blocks access to Mordremoth.
The very final release offers a Perminent dungeon where you fight Mordremoth and finally kill him. Destiny's Edge is also there, along with Rox, Braham, Kasmeer, Marjory, and Taimi.

So that's my big idea on how the plot should go, hope you like it and please give me some feedback!

Join the Vigil, the order of whispers as they hold the attention of the vicious dragon, Mordremoth! You'll pummel his insides by crawling into his anus and tear him up! Surprise ending unlocked for only 1200 gems!

I like it. Short and sweet and adds new permanent content. The other tree is a nice touch but I would also like to see some details in Magus Falls that harken back to GW, like an overgrowth-covered Temple of Balthazar and/or some remnant of Zinn's lair. There is also a bloodstone in Maguuma Wastes, and we might use it to store magic to keep Mordremoth from feeding.

ARE YOU INSANE!?!?!?!?!?!?  I AM NOT GOING INTO THAT THING!!!! DEFINETLY NOT THERE!!!!

As for you Alexie, the bloodstone idea is something to like.  Find the spot where he gets all the magic and just plunk it there. It will be heavily guarded, and you will need to defend it to weaken Mordremoth. IIII LIKE IT!!!

But like I said up at the first releases part: these minions need a name. Please post any suggestions for names and I may choose a good one!

Even in spite of my current issues with Guild Wars 2 and Arena Net I really wish people would just get off this kick. Its been nearly two years now, heck longer if you got in during the pre-purchase betas like I did, and Arena Net hasn't done anything even remotely pay-to-win and hasn't charged one cent for any form of content outside of some stupid looking weapon skins and ugly armor. I know you're just waiting and praying for the day Arena Net crosses that line so you can declare "I told you so" and feel smug for a minute or two, but in all honesty it doesn't look like it is going to happen. Just get over it already.

I told you so.

Reason? Gem Store RNG Tormented Weapons. Last nail in that coffin I'm afraid.

How exactly are those any different than any of the other skins they have released before that makes them pay to win?

Purely cosmetic weapon SKINS and actual story based gameplay content are two very different things, and if you don't understand that then there is objectively something wrong with you.

If you were a WoW player, I'd compare it to selling a Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker look-alike transmog skin in the Cash Store.

Having a Tormented Weapon was one of the required trophies for maximum Hall of Monuments score. A hard weapon to adquire and one of the most expensive non-novelity weapons. It was the symbol of being involved in the hardest content Guild Wars had to offer.

And they put a price tag on that symbol, stripping it of any valor it once had. It might be a stretch from actual Pay To Win scenarios, but if we were told four years ago that ArenaNet would do this to the Tormented Weapons, the wiplash would have been legendary. To me, it clears any doubt of ArenaNet's motivations for this game.

The only thing objectively wrong with me, would be to not show actual disgust for this. These weapons had story, and the lore behind them was given shotgun seat for the money grabbing.

My point still stands. Regardless of what subjective value similar looking weapons had in a different game they still have absolutely nothing to do with this game's story or achievements. They are just skins. They are meaningless. I personally really like the Krytan medium armor set in GW1, it was kind of a signature look for my ranger, but I'm not throwing a fit because that set is only in the gem store now. Skins are not story content, it doesn't matter how much acclaim skins that looked kind of sort of like them held in a different game.

They might have had that prestige when DoA first came but in the later years the Armbraces that traded into the Tormented stuff became just another trading currency, a bit like Ectoplasm... I got two Tormented weapons without ever setting foot in DoA except for the lobby area as I was never that much into partying except with heroes and henchmen... bought Armbraces in Kamadan some months after the duping incident :)

except.. the elder dragons arent evil... theya re forces of nature/magic in solid form.. more akin to natural disasters than evil... this is simply an elder dragon that can control plants and plant-life... different from what zhaitan did. i would imagine mordremoth would just summon up those plant beings from gw 1 that inhabited the area forget their name... and possibly cover the entire area with vines/trees...

the elder dragons are not evil... they only want to feast and then go back to sleep.. like waking up after a long nap.. they are hungry and want to feast.

even zhaitan the elder dragon of undead wasnt evil.. during the whole story the only thing he was interested in was feasting on power that his minions brought to him... we just started getting in his way and annoying him so he started to attack us to get rid of us.

to us he was evil.. but really he just wanted power and we got in his way.. same is true for all the dragons. not nessisarily evil they just want power (their food source).

Technically yes, but in a literary sense the Dragons that we know better are representations of vices. Their followers sacrifice everything that "we" value in an unbalanced attempt to fulfill certain desires. (Jormag: Power, Zhaitan: Immortality, Kralk: Perfection, Primordius: Destruction) They cannot be held morally accountable precisely because they embody certain evils by nature.

If the Elder Dragons aren't evil, then Abaddon was actually trying to set up Nightfall so he could starve the dragons for magic and use his demonic army to kill them. As he originally planned when he handed mortal races magic and the other gods were shaking in their boots.

But we all know that isn't true.
