The R550 (basic config) would be a good "entry level" machine. The i5-3350P is basically a i5-3450 without the IGP (graphics). The GTX-650 Ti should run GW2 at relatively high-ish settings, particularly if the monitor is a lower rez like 1366x768 or 1600x900.
The R570 (basic config) should run GW2 just fine.
A good compromise would be to configure an R550 with a GTX-660.

-at least High settings
-at least 30FPS
-at 1440x900 resolution
-If possible, I only need the tower.
My budget is $1,000. Will I be able to get something at that price or will I have to shell out more money? Thank you.

- any Ivy Bridge i5 (i5-3xxx)
- Z77 motherboard
- 8Gigs of DDR3-1600
- HD7870 or GTX-660 Ti (at 1440x900 you could even go lower to an HD7850/7770 or GTX-660/650 Ti),
- 500-650watt quality power supply.
You may be best off configuring a system from Dell, iBuypower, Cyberpower. etc.

TigerDirect ships internationally and are one of the best for prices (not as good as Newegg though) and have good customer service. You may have to contact them directly to find out the details of shipping to NZ. Make sure you check your local customs laws and fees/taxes too since sometimes they are astronomically high on electronics.

Can i ask here for a build recommendation or should i create a separate thread on the computer buying & building forum ?
I'm from germany and would like to get me a new machine, as my current is seven years old and has not enough power left for a decent gaming experience.
I'd like to spend around 800 euros.
The machine will be used only for gaming, surfing and media, also i will be coding and using VMs, it's just occasionally.
I would need a tower, mobo, cpu, graphic card, ram, power supply, dvd/blueray (burning dvds for backups and such), hdd and a ssd and as an OS Win7.
I dont know much about PC-hardware and mostly am afraid of buying outdated or soon to be outdated ware.
Thats why i would really appreciate a helping hand in pointing out a good compilation, maybe one that will last for the next years to provide a good base for playing even future game releases.
Am i expecting to much for 800 bucks ?
Where would i order my stuff from germany, is there a decent retailer you could point me to ?
ps: i did find a while ago a very good guide here on the forums, with a load of tips and links and several pre-builds for a variety of budgets, but i seem to not be able to find it again.
Please move my question, if it doesn't fit in the thread, thank you.
Thanks to everyone helping and responding.

I'm hoping for this one to last about the same amount of time as my last build and still be decent. What I did with my last machine was use stock settings until the last year or so and then OC it a bit when I stared noticing that it's a bit slow to buy a bit more time, so I'll probably do similar here.
The Caviar Black & 660 Ti were recent upgrades last year, so they'll be recycled on this build.
Does anyone see any red flags/things they'd recommend against using & suggested alternative? Removing the 2 parts that will be recycled this fits perfectly in line with my budget of ~$1000.
Your input is appreciated! Thanks!
-Michael

Better off just getting a stand alone GPU and calling it a day. I recommend either the HD 7770/7850/7870 or the GTX 650 Ti Boost/660 Ti, depending on your budget.

My budget is cheap. Hence the current build with only an A8. Currently I don't even have a dedicated GPU! I just want to step things up a bit. A 6670 ddr3 its like $50 and for the 6670 gddr5 is $65 with rebates on newegg. If I get any boost I would go with the gddr5, but I have heard that when you crossfire it with the A8, you only get ddr3 performance. If so then I will gladly save $15. I would love to know if this is true or not.

I just recently... like two weeks ago... purchased parts for a system very similar to the one in your list (LURVE! PCPartPicker!).
Mine
I went with the i5-3750k because I felt it was a better value. It's not that much under the i7, performance-wise, and less expensive.
I think you would get by very well with a "smaller" power supply.
The case is awesome! Bigger than I thought, and you'd have to try really really hard to get something to overheat in there, especially with the extra 200mm fan (woot! for red LEDs!).
Everything is running like a top and near silently. Anyway... that's my 2p.
