Engineer is the technological successor to the Ritualist.  Yes, I too miss the flavor of the ritualist (even the jars of ashes!), but it would be hard for a Ritualist to find a place in GW2.

Dervish might work, but she was a one trick pony with forms IMO.

Modern warrior kind of took the place of Paragon with Standards and Shouts.

I don't know:  what Niche is missing?

well, jsut because the mechanics are same as engineer, doesn't mean they can't change the ritualist up a bit so atleast they could transfer the same feel the ritualist gave. Nothing beats a ritualist imo ^^ favourite class ever

The whole point is for the charges to make money for Anet.  But you're saying to everyone just play the game and grind for them.

Why should players waste time grinding for charges, if they don't plan on buying them with real money anyways?  Anet might as well save players the trouble and make all transmutations free.

Or do you think this is some kind of End Game and you need that carrot to chase?

I'm not saying everyone SHOULD grind for them, i'm saying that is another option for those unwilling to use gemstore for it. Just becasue you can get them through ingame means doesn't mean they should be given for free out of cash shop. the cash shop is exactly there for this kind of stuff, quality of life stuff. You can get em in game if you work for it, but for those who don't feel like doing so, you can buy em with gold/real cash. It's not that ahrd a concept to grasp.

People who don't plan on buying them should grind them because they want those charges, there doesn't need to be a bigger meaning behind it. And jsut because some people will farm those chrges doesn't mean everyone will , which makes it still a valuable money source for anet.

Lol, no this isn't some endgame content, where did you get that from. It's the same as anything else you want in a game, you play for it, or you take the easy way out and buy it, either way, you can get charges. I see zero problem with that at all.

But you are being charged twice for the same skin. Just that the second charge is 40 gems instead of 500.

Which is still way better than having to buy the whole skin over and over, isn't it? Is this the BEST system for it? no, but it's a fair compromise between what players want and anets need to make money. It's simple as that. You're gonna ahve to learn to compromise in live, thats jsut how things work.

You must not be reading the official forums.  There are many players posting multiple reasons for not liking the wardrobe.

But this is not the official forums.  Tolls banned from the OF have taken over this forum.

Just because people here disagree with you doesn't make them trolls.

I love the new system and don't see the problem with it at all. you do NOT need the cashshop to get charges, you can get them through playing the game (and i don't mean making a char to complete cities , rinse and repeat). The way it is now makes it a nice compromise of making money for anet and what many players wanted in the first place. Sometimes you just need to make compromises instead of comlain because its not exactly as you want it.

ok there are enough professions , but not enough skills, not enough weapons. They also can add a new race, new zones, something new... year and a half same events , some boring living story with plant thing vilian... I loved the map and all zones when i ve leveled my first 2 characters, but now i can't stand all same zones, same instances. Just grinding some achievement points... FOr veteran players the game is pretty boring atm.
And even with many professions i ll be happy to see Dervishes and Paragons or some profession with 2 handlers polearms scythes , 2h axes. Something fresh. Or at least new weapon skills.. i swear if i see that hundred blades animation some more times i ll puke on my keyboard

nah theere can always be more professions. Sure will the be completely unique in playstyle form the existing ones? not necessarily, but the change in theme is more than enough for people to love it. Ye an ritualist is technicaly the same as the engineer mechanic wise, but it doesn't have the same feeling the awesomeness of calling upon spirits etc.

and i fully support new races and weapons :)

In Topic: Wardrobe, Charges should only unlock.

My idea still uses charges as an unlock but not as a reskin.

Anet can make money other ways.  They could put one charge in every BLC and eliminate the farm.

Skin collectors will not use this new system as it is now.  What's the point if we don't own them?

I am a skin collector, and i see no issue with this, i know very well that i didn't unolcok the skin, but i unlocked acces to the skin for one transmutation charge, something you can get through ingmae means wihout having to pay money, i'm 100% fine with that. And for thsoe that rly want to go all the way with it and use so many charges that they need to buy them from gemstore to keep up with their look changes, than well, sux for you, but anet DOES need to make money and this change alrdy caused them to loose the profit of multiple buys of the same skin, they alrdy gave in to losing some income to benefit the players and imo more is unnecessary. It's a business, there will be things you need to pay for, and this is part of it. If you change to changing your look weekly, i'm sure you can get plenty of charges from palying the game regularly so you never ahve to spent money on it. compromise.
