#2052487 Can we expect a nerf to Dagger Autoattack?

Now the issue comes here, after trying WvW sword MH i realised how terribly OP dagger autoattack is, the damage is way over the clouds considering what attack speed it has, my lotus strike was hitting for 7k easy.
It is know by every decent thief out there that d/d is way too OP and that makes every single player go "hUEhuEHuEHu" arround and feel like a boss because they just need 2 autoattack chains to pwn a elementalist.
Imo D autoattack needs a slight nerf, maybe then some thiefs would be able to look past that set and start making the thief class look like we actually need any skill to do great, because right now, donesn´t matter how good player you are, if you are using d/d you will always be seen like a faceroll nab.
Also HS damage is more than enough to keep the MH D as a superb set.
Opinions?

Depends on your class and the Mesmer's build. General stuff that applies to any class if they're a shatter or phantasm build is this: AOE damage - put pressure on them while keeping their clones down. If you see clones come running at you, dodge away and make sure they die before they reach you. Dodge a phantasm's first attack and kill it before it attacks again, they can easily hit for 4k per attack round. If the mesmer pulls out his sword/pistol, he's probably going to stun you with the pistol ability then use the immobilize/teleport clone > blurred frenzy + shatter on you. It's a burst combo that is nullified by a stunbreak or stability and GTFO or evasion/dmg absorb ability. If they hold their hand up in the air for a stupid long cast time, interrupt it. It's MOA (best way to get accustomed to the animation is to make a mesmer, go to the mists and cast it a few times). If they stealth, expect them to moa you while stealthed and be ready to LOS them until it's down. The main counter to moa is a combination of LOS and dodge rolls to avoid being CC'd.
Then for your build, you need things that allow you to play the above counters: AOE damage, stunbreaks, gap opener of any kind, condition removals are a plus for confusion.

Then the second Post was "I dont want to kill your post but..." Personally this guy/girl lost any validity in the first sentence. Even if the second part of his/her post was giving feedback and giving a personal opinion. The first part was again Passive Aggresive.
Then Fizzgig jumps in and gives some constructive feedback, but then talks about how he/she was rude about not taking constructive critisim. Really? Where was any of the first 2 posts after the OP's orginal post constructive? Instead they came in acting like he/she was and idiot? OP defended with the same sort of mentality he/she was shown. While he/she could have ignored it and moved on. When you attack someones idea in this case a build of course there is going to be some poking and proding.
MyOne Started off with "Sorry Bro" Again in this context it was (or at least from the context I was reading) a "Dont act like you know everything because I know more then you do." type of comment.
This entire thread was fail from the moment he/she hit "Post"
To the OP: thanks for sharing the build. If it works for you great, Im sure someone will ignore all other crap and give it a try and they will either like it. Or they wont. Hopefully they are mature enough to come on the forums and give you real constructive feedback.

The game was officially released on August 28th. That's 542 hours 23 mins before the time of your post. You have played 300+ hours. That means you have spent more than 55% of the total available time in your life playing this game since launch. Hoping you had at least 6 hours of daily sleep, you ended up playing nearly 75% of the every waking hour of your life in last 3 weeks or so.
I think the game got bored of you and decided not to offer you any more fun till you take some rest and help yourself in the process.
I say that jokingly. But, in all honesty, the impact of sitting on your butt 75% of the day will take heavy toll on your body. It does not matter how old you are. You will have serious issues with your health if you don't take a break now.

* Name bans
* Hate speech bans (with hilariously outed "innocent people")
* Botting bans
* Respawning DE exploit rollbacks and bans.
* Exploits like karma vendor bans.
Let me be the one to say loudly: Good job. You just set very high standard. And made sure people listen because 3 day ban is very harsh right after start. Hopefully this will make anyone think thrice before doing something stupid.
Thumbs up.

Save termination for repeated racism in spite of warnings and illegal activity. 72 hours for profanity, bad language, and taking light advantage of an exploit.
Do account-wipes for people who do massive exploitation. The best part about that idea, is the punishment fits the crime. You take the items out of their account, and wipe their progress. They learn the lesson and you haven't essentially punished the customer for a mistake your developers made.
Of course if they go right back and do it again ban them. This heavy hand with banning...I understand it when it comes to gold traders. A zero tolerance policy and vigilance is a great way to stop it before it starts. Yet some of the other bans I've been hearing about...it's making honest players nervous and an environment of oppression and fear is not going to nurture the type of community you want.
They decided to cheat, exploit, to gain more money and a advantage over others when they were not supposed to. They deserve to be permanantly banned.

My only other complaint would be is that I wish you had multiple weapon skills you could swap out for each weapon in the same fashion as utility. It could really spice up the staleness of using the same weapon over n over again.
this is just my analysis from playing the game most of yesterday and today.
I just find it dissapointing that with all that talent in other areas, the story area part of the game seems to be the most ignored by the developers. when it is often the most important aspect of the game.
"The Story"
Which? There are dozens and I like mine quite a bit.

so far the DE's are taking a while to complete. i'll be standing there waiting for the next 'wave' to defend. in the betas it was all sped up, now im wishing it actually was to those speeds. alot of the time to even now im finding dead areas for DE's.
renown hearts are all sussed out. they basically give you 4 or 5 objectives for you to pick and choose. what im finding though, if theres players, you're still fighting for the things its asking (pick up water pail and put out fire etc). the problem is it also takes quite a while to simply fill up that bar. i just want to get through it, theres nothing different to anything else.
and lastly, going back to DE's, if there is a big populace in the area, its just a zerg fest. we're all shooting in the same direction. theres no teamwork, hell i did a combo field but that was cos i dropped my ring of fire in the middle of a pyrotechnics show and it just happened.
with standard questing, you can have a near infinite amount of possibilities because the game then can shift and change and do anything it wants. Dynamic events are made on the basis that anyone can join in, BUT in saying that, means you also cant simply just mount up on a massive giant and go take down a huge world boss.
my thoughts so far.
