I'm buying a new pc - Need help

19 August 2012 - 11:13 AM

Hi everyone!
The time has come, I'm finally buying a new pc!

Now I need your help to help me decide which one to buy, because I don't know everything about pc's and I really could use some help!

I'll mainly use my pc for gaming (GW2, Skyrim, Torchlight2, ...) and I would like it to run the next gen games with a good perfomance...

This is my list of pc's I'm considering to buy:

PC1 (price: €1029)
  • Intel core i7 3770
  • 16GB RAM (Type: DDR3 1333MHz)
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX560 (1.28GB DDR5 memory)
  • HDD 2TB
  • SSD 64GB
  • Intel H77 Express Chipset
Pc2 (price: €999)
  • Intel core i7 2700k
  • 16GB RAM (Type: DDR3 1333MHz)
  • 3.5 GHz
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX560 (1.28GB DDR5 memory)
  • HDD 2TB
  • Intel P67 Express Chipset
PC3 (price: €1199)
  • Intel core i7 3770
  • 12GB RAM (Type: DDR3 1333MHz)
  • 3.4 GHz
  • AMD Radeon HD7870 (2GB DDR5 memory)
  • HDD 2TB
  • SSD 64GB
  • Intel H77 Express Chipset
PC4 (price: €999)
  • Intel Core i7 3770
  • 8GB RAM DDR3
  • Nvidia GT 645 (1.5GB)
  • HDD 2TB
  • Intel B75 Express Chipset
PC5 (price: €1029)
  • Intel Core i7 3770
  • 6GB RAM
  • AMD Radeon HD 7770 (2GB)
  • HDD 1TB
  • SSD 64GB
Now what do you think is the best one if you look at the price and hardware?
And what are the good things and the bad things?

Edit1: (Maybe if someone would be so kind can build me one here: http://translate.goo...UILDERS&act=url (It's a Belgian website so I translated it using google translator to English)
My pricetag is 1000 to 1200 euro... )
Edit2: Or if anyone knows a good website where I can build a good gaming desktop for a cheap price let me know (remember I'm from Belgium and I don't have a visa card or something like that... (I do have paypal)

Tutorial Grounds Suggestion

16 August 2012 - 08:47 PM

So here's my story:

Last stress test I came across a player who was completely new to GuildWars2.
He didn't understand about the new mechanics in GW2.

He didn't know:
  • What to do (I quote: "What do you do in this game, you don't have alot of quests")
  • How to start renown hearts, or how to finish them and get the reward (I quote: How do I finish this quest, I'm talking to this NPC but he won't let me finish it...")
  • What dynamic events are
  • How dynamic events scale and progress
  • About the combat mechanics (Dodge, weapon skills, movement ...)
  • About the easy co-op (No kill stealing, everyone can ressurect, ...)
  • About the personal story
  • ...
So I started to explain him how all the new mechanics work in GW2...
He was really interested in the new mechanics but still, he failed to understand how some of them worked...

Alot of the new people try to play GW2 as a traditional MMO and don't know what to do. This isn't how GW2 works. And that's the problem right here...

My suggestion:

The Tutorial Grounds

An Instanced place where people are suggested to teleport too, after they've completed the first personal tutorial to get a much deeper tutorial that explains the new game mechanics alot better, all one by one.
(Events, hearts, personal story, combat, ...)

This would help alot of new people who are completely new to GuildWars2.

What do you think?

Here's a video where WoodenPotatoes talks about the map.

What do you think about it?
Is it complete?
Is it big enough?

I really like it but it doesn't feel complete I dont't know why...
