Posts I've Made

In Topic: Do you still play GW2, and why?

02 January 2014 - 06:16 PM

I came back when the Winters day LS returned.

I thought I wanted to try the LS, but instead I created a Charr Guardian and he is now lvl 37. It is actually kind of refreshing.

Frankly I hope that Scarlet get over with really soon and we can deal with some other threats (Dragons anyone?!)
And hopefully that will get me back to the game and make me want to forget every other game or console out there. Because I was so in love with GW2 before it was released.

Then I lost my interest after a year and getting my main at the time to 80 in full exotics. But now there is a bit of hope I might come back and get interested in going for ascended and maybe even a Legendary. Oh well we'll see what Anet decides to do after Scarlet is done. :)

In Topic: A Very Merry Wintersday - December 10 Update

04 December 2013 - 03:41 PM

First time in months I am a bit more intrigued to check out this patch!

I am not much of a fan of the Winterday, however, I plan to check it out more thoroughly this time. Mainly because I have the time and the ascended gear looks promising. I think it was about time more armours were added, dispite the looks. Perhaps I might set a long term goal to get my Ele or Mesmer in full Ascended. :) Hmm time to start farming!

Oh and merry wintersday everyone! :) (In advance)

In Topic: Now, how do you feel about the Living Story? (11/13/13)

14 November 2013 - 02:10 PM

I only played through a few LS. The reason why is that some of it just isn't my thing. And I guess that counts for everything. I mean we can't be pleased individually. And actually I'm fine with that.

But recently I have been wondering if I should even bother checking the update or not. Sometimes I didn't even bother or cared enough to update my client (till yesterday). And that is because the updates come in a rapid pace. There is a lot of AP zerging involved and some of the 'new lore' just isn't appealing.

I mean when we were first introduced to Scarlet I thought she was kind of refreshing I did the events and had a lot of fun doing them. But then when all the mixtures of different groups came along through other releases I just kept my distance and mostly just checked the patch preview on their website and concluded that it wasn't for me.

Now there is a little problem I have been hearing on the forums when it comes to LS and that is that Tyria as a whole has a lot of lore to offer. Sadly, for some strange or to me unknown reason, Anet decided not to work with it too much and mainly focus on bringing in new heroes/villains that would spice the world up. But all it really did for me was saying "No I won't log in for this patch".

I can only speak from my own experience/feelings with/towards Anet and the way that they handle LS. But it just is not as much 'fun' as they made look like in the beginning. And that is what really bothers me. And trust me I know how commerce/marketing works, but I just thing they don't deliver what they said they would. Quality and fun. Instead they deliver a patch full of zerg this and that, get the achievements and check in when we upload our next patch.

It's not fun anymore, Anet. :(

In Topic: Tequatl Rising

The upcoming update has been revealed. It seems we are not only getting Tequatl as an enhanced boss but some others have been updated too.

Oh and I like the wings! :D

In Topic: Favourite and least favourite Living Story addition?

20 August 2013 - 03:14 PM

Till this day I still have no real 'favorite' LS chapter...

But to accept the challenge and -think- about it... I would say I liked the Jubilee and somewhat the Sanctum Zephyr.
All the others were to... not so interesting to say the least.

And the one standing out to the point where I cringe everytime I think about it is definately Flame & Frost.

But then again I do have to admit that Anet is getting better at delivering us some interesting stuff. It is still not amazing or overwhelming, but they do introduce us with more interesting stories and even some hints towards Gw1. So I just wait and hope they will eventually come up with an update I really love...
