Note - The thief steal pool seems to have EVERY single stealable item in the game / among the professions, and so stealing from a thief literally produces a random result. Here are the items that I confirmed you can steal from a thief.

I find every single one of these effects useful, and so every usage of steal, to me, is helpful. However, I'd rather the item pool for each profession be lowered to 2-3 so strategies can be made with steal.
During the AMA, Jon Peters said that the item pool for steal had been reduced to 2-3 items, but the above list proves this otherwise. This means he was either referring to PvE, which this seems to hold true (but it always did), or that the 2-3 item pool for each profession is in a different version of the game.
With this, I hope people can get an understanding of what can be stolen, and can start using steal to its fullest.
