How long before "LF2M for Arah, Exotics only"? If the dungeons are difficult and there is any stat advantage between rares and exotics then it won't be all that unlikely to happen. Also, I thought the "grind" in this game was for cosmetics only? Now apparently it's okay if it's also for "minor" stat differences? I think ANet needs to read their own MMO manifesto again.

Normally I'm the one forming/leading the groups, so I doubt I'll ever have to deal with someone expecting me to do something in a group.

However, I would suggest if someone saying "Dude, heal me already!", reply with "6" and nothing else.

Idiot: "Dude, heal me already!"
Me: "6"
Idiot: "What are you talking about, you're the Guardian you should be healing me!"
Me: "6"
Idiot: Are you going to heal or not?
Me: "6"
Idiot: Fine! If you don't start healing me, I'll quit! I swear I'll do it!"
Me: "6?"

If someone is ignorant of GW2  to the point where they expect you to fulfill a healing/support role just because you're a Guardian (not to mention the fact that they think they need someone to fulfill a healing/support role), you probably won't benefit from playing with them in the first place.

Guardians are just fine at dealing damage and controlling enemies, just like every other Profession.

I'm not a psychiatrist, but he doesn't seem healthy.

I'm sorry but this is plain and outright the most contradictory thing stated about GW2.

Troll or not, what he's saying is not completely wrong

I understand what OP is saying, listen everyone, I said I understand is all.

OP is saying, well what if I dont like to explore, dont like to craft and dont like wvw/pvp, then all that is left is doing hearts/DEs in order for me to get xp.  Granted this is removing a lot of the game but it is a person $60+ and if they only wish to do hearts/DEs then that is their choice.

My general gripe is this:

I don't want to gather and craft, and I feel like I need to in order to stay on the proper pace, as I had difficulty leveling in all three BWE's not crafting or gathering.

the game is "play my way... within the context of the game and with consequences to my choices".

not "play my way and get everything I want reguardless of what I do".

You (and others) are ignoring a critical part of what the OP is talking about, pace.  He wants to just do certain things AND have a desirable leveling pace.  Those are both important parts of what he wants, how he wants to play.  The game does not accommodate this; therefore, Anet's marketing phrase is bs.

Honestly, the worst thing people should be saying about the OP is that he might as well be talking about how the sky is blue and water is wet.

Seriously, if I don't want to explore, then I'm not going to be able to level.(i never explored and get same alot of lv) If I don't want to do personal story, I'm going to have a very hard time to level (Lolz i never and ever did Personal Story same above). If I don't gather AT ALL, I'll have a hard time to level (gather there're a way to gain exp from gathering 0.o? neither this i did on BWE). It seems that you need(yea is a Need not a Must so it mean nobody force you Lolz) to do a little bit of everything(it mean that if you got something in front you why don't join and do it for bonus exp instead of ignoring it with attitude of "i don't like do DE so i pass" at end is (almost)always killing mobs nothing different from normal pve) in order to stay on the leveling pace properly.(and here it come her trueself, she want keep the same fast lv way of other that do this(mix of everything) but she don't want do them ,she want the "your way" easy as someone that try hard...on gain exp for "Stay on the leveling pace properly)


I don't see how this is improved over the "other" questing system, it just forces(at first wasn't "Need" now why is it become "Force" Lolz?) you to complete more gameplay such as gathering, doing skill points, points of interest, etc. How is that "play my way"?(you still can keep "play my way" just got a less efficiency exp gain than someone that do mix of everything) That's "play a-nets way". Exactly the same.

There's a quote from Colin J. (don't have time to find it, maybe someone can post it?) where he talks about the leveling speed. Paraphrased: "If you're gathering, exploring, doing dynamic events, etc. then you shouldn't have any leveling problems". (TRUE STORY Lolz)

If it really was "play your way", then you should be able to level without getting points of interest, skill points, WvW, gathering, etc. but it's clearly not that way.(SELFISHNESS MODE ON, "play your way" let you lv up too but not at same speed like who do everything)

Your thoughts?(i'm not attacking her or bashing her this is my "Thoughts" :| )

The reason why I made this is because I think this is a misleading thing to say about GW2... you can craft, explore, and gather in GW2, but you can also do that in other games. It is simply an illusion that I felt like I should point out.
