Yeah, I'm not going to claim its God-mode. You will take down some bunkers with patience, but a good Ele bunker probably not. Key is you do have two interrupts with the fern hound and your #5 skill with the shortbow (and a 3rd if you want to bring out another pet besides the Moa). Also, applying poison with both the bow and the 1h sword (I try to wait until they cleanse the bleeds I am hopefully stacking with the bow/pet). I don't do paid tournaments, but I did have success in the few free tourny's I ran that had a decent team.

The best part about the build is being able to make any melee glass-cannon look silly by timing your dodges/evades/utility right and then proceeding to DPS them down. I'll just point out again as well that it only will feel tanky if you can dodge and use the sword/bow evades at the right time. Otherwise, it will just frustrate you if you think you are going to just heal through damage.

I would swap out the WH and use torch or something else and give that a shot. Reason being, you can always buff with the WH before going into battle and have it up at the start then swap to something else and give yourself a little more damage. But that's my personal opinion. I used to run WH off-hand for the longest time but it always felt like it was missing something.

Besides the added damage, torch would give you some point control from the AE as well as Fire Aura from the sword 2 skill inside the combo field.

Just some food for thought.

I have been logging which class got first place in sPvP matches for several days, just a few hours at a time.  It's an ongoing process.  A few days ago a ranger got the number one spot.  I had to make a new column for rangers because none had got the number one spot so far in the admittedly small sampling I have.  He repeated his success in the next game.  When I messaged him he pointed me to this forum topic and he specifically mentioned Kuju.  I have been running with this build and have been having a moderate amount of success in hot join sPvP matches.  When and if I get good at using a Ranger I think I could have great success with this build.

I personally believe the war horn is absolutely necessary because you have to be able to move from point to point quickly to score points. I am surprised at how well I survive against instagib thieves with this build.  I think it's a real winner.

In case anyone is interested in my numbers for the number one spot in matches to date: Thieves 10, Mesmers 6, Elementalists 6, Necromancers 6, Warriors 4, Guardians 2, Rangers 2.  This is only 18 random matches and I imagine the numbers will change over time.

Right, the Warhorn is essential for the mobility; whether it's for moving from point to point (with or without a group), kiting, or escape. The character I am playing the Ranger on is Xull if anybody catches me in some hotjoins. I do tourny's from time to time, but I generally don't like wishing for good groups :D. I tried the Torch and while it works, it seems to gimp the build a bit. You don't really need the extra damage the torch would offer over the birds, fury, swiftness you would get from the  horn. Although, I admit doing the leap combo's through the fire field is fun.

Yeah, condition is not the only viable build, but there are some traits that could use improvements to help out. Is the link just not working, because it works for me?

I should mention i did switch out Oakheart Salve for Offhand Training this morning for the warhorn, and I am liking that better.

I've been running a somewhat similar build lately and been having fun with it. I get pretty good healing output with good condition removal, and just relying on bleed ticks whilst going in and out of stealth. I don't like to fight good Engineers with condition removal/immunity, and I need to time my dodges very well to not risk getting stunned/knocked down and combo'd: http://gw2skills.net...POikEtWYEwWkZAA

It will really test your patience, but I feel like I can wear down most opponents by outlasting them. Still tweaking, and I'm debating moving 5 points of out Acrobatics and into Trickery for a 0/0/30/25/15 build.
