Never ever expect established players to ever be critical in any meaningful way, it's not in their interest. This website makes the staff members money based on clicks and ad revenue, negative coverage would lower their bottom line.
Sorry, but none of us are paid. Only the admins, and that only happened after Curse purchased the website.

This is all very off topic and some of the people posting here already have an axe to grind with the staff. Let's try to get back on topic folks.

If anyone would like to PM me to continue the conversation I'd be glad to follow up. I'll be out for the next few hours, but I'll be checking PMs after that.

I do not usually make such distinctions, but this sounds like a thinly veiled threat that action will be taken for the sake of maintaining appearances on this forum.  If I am misinterpreting that, I apologize.
No, it's not that at all. There are a few people here that would rather play Forum Wars than anything else, and by their constant ranting and raving are poisoning the rest of the community. The community is the most important part of this for me, and for a lot of the other staff. We can't control what Anet does, nor do we want. We just want to encourage a health, growing, vibrant community. I personally don't want a few loudmouths to be the ones shaping it.

Edit: And, of course, this is why I don't usually share my opinions about anything regarding this site publicly.

There isn't one. The closest thing we have is GW2. As such, I will, as a consumer, continue to point out it's problems as I see fit. It is my right to do so. If you don't like it find a forum that scratches your itch?
If you continue to crap on every topic, you'll be the one needing to find another forum. At a certain point you're (not just you, but everyone with the same attitude) just beating a dead horse. And it needs to stop.

No one on this site has more invested in GW2 than the staff here does. You certainly don't see us posting in such a manner.

If you can't find anything else to say other than all the things you hate about GW2, you really do need to find something better to do with your time.

The problem is that you are assuming.
That's most of the problem with most of the posts in threads like this. Then they get out of hand, infractions have to be handed out, threads have to be moderated, and feelings have to get hurt.

Let's try not to replicate what's been happening in too many threads here lately.

I really hate feeding the troll but here goes....

Math is absolute, when the equations in math say something is equal that is totally irrefutable. However math uses assumptions to allow it to be irrefutable. When you make these spreadsheet calculations you are also making assumptions. Probably very reasonable assumptions. However the real world is chaotic, things change rapidly they do not remain the same. The same is true for the GW2 world.

When you make these calculations you then need to test them and see if your assumptions hold up. You are not doing that. In the game world people are moving to get out of AoEs, latency is slowing your rotation down, people some times just screw up and all these little conditions (or assumptions) start to fall apart.

It is not possible to stay on a flank 100% of the time, no matter how good you are at managing your pet it WILL die sometimes. Same with spirits, they will die sometimes (I would argue most times).

Theorycrafting is JUST THAT the crafting of theory. This theory must then be tested. You are only halfway there and those who have tested your theory have found that it falls apart in the game... Its not shameful when a theory falls apart you just then have to pick up and try again. Brilliant scientists have spent their whole careers working on theories only to see them disproven. That doesn't take away from their work, becuase a lot of meaningful discussion happens along the way, but you are just taking this too far. Your theory has been disproven, and the meaningful discussion that happened along the way was long ago and has now devolved into a flame fest.

Just stop beating your dead horse and move on.
This guy. This guy right here.

This is me helping everyone move on.
