No matter how you spin it, taking advantage of a broken game mechanic is wrong, and an exploit. The fault lies in the fact that the players know that the event should not spawn that quickly. Rather than reporting it, they choose to exploit it for personal gain.

That was the point they were making. If you wanted to level up a craft after hitting L80 and went back to a low level area to farm gear to salvage and only gear of your level dropped could you salvage it for the lowest level cloth you need or are you stuck salvaging it for the higher level stuff. That then lead to the thought of lowbies selling something as simple as cloth pants for 300g.

I think what people may be forgetting is that not only can you salvage wearable gear, but the mobs (at least the humanoid ones) in those areas also drop grey items that can be salvaged for materials. If I recall correctly they were similar to the salvageable items in Guild Wars, and had no level. So, while the gear that drops for a higher level character may be level-specific, the grey salvage items that are dropped would be level appropriate. Please, correct me if I am misremebering.

I went into this beta determined to play only one class the entire weekend. If you knew me you'd realize how impossible a task I'd set for myself. I certainly should have known better. The Necromancer was my class of choice and I loved it, I really did. The class felt powerful, and I felt like I could handle every situation that was set before me. It was *the* class that I had decided would be my main once the game launched.

Then, on a whim, I decided to try an Engineer, and now I am right back to where I was prior to deciding on the Necromancer. I can't make up my mind!

In this fantasy realm would it really be so out of place to have something that the Aion character creation could make.

P.S. I wish I could show you my Aion character, it was quite the ruse.

Since they have seen fit to limit the customization, I'm going to have to answer that with a yes.

I agree. I don't see bringing up valid concerns as nit-picking, more as a way of letting those in charge know some of the things that are important to us, and that we'd like to see in games.

Bringing them up isn't a bad thing, harping on them if they decide not to implement them is, in my opinion.
