Seems like I've tried them all but I still always get either a crash or a black screen.
[Laptop] What do you think?
06 August 2012 - 07:36 AM
Hey techies,
I'm about to purchase a new Laptop and I'm pretty stressed as to if it will perform well on GW2 with AA + High on. I wouldn't want to blow all this money only to have a disappointing gaming experience. Anyhow, my friend redirected me to CyberPower from which I tried building a Laptop for right under a 1,000$.
After reading the "Laptops, GW2 and Gaming" thread, it became evident to me that the GPU plays an important role on the performance of my laptop when it comes to gaming. I've done some research on the GPU I've selected (650M GT @ 2G) and according to Benchmarks I should be getting 40FPS+ (fluid to me) High on BF3. Assuming BF3 runs like GW2, will I be able to run the game fluidly with AA on?
Here's the full list of the components. Thanks in advance for the feedback.
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM Mobile Processor 2.30 GHz 6M Smart Cache, Max Turbo Freq. 3.30 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GT 650M 2GB PCIe Video
HDD: 750GB 7200RPM SATA300 Hard Drive
MEMORY: 8GB (8GBx1) DDR3-1333 SODIMM Memory
MOTHERBOARD: Intel HM76 Chipset Mainboard
NOTEBOOK: QAL51 Gaming Notebook 15.6" Full HD 1920x1080 Display
OS: Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition)

Perks of acquiring the game in retail?
04 July 2012 - 03:40 AM
I'm sorry if this question has been answered several times before (as I feel it did) but I've browsed the forums and the FAQ and couldn't find a clear answer to my question. I'll try to formulate my question clearly.
If I'd go to the BestBuy by my house right now, ask to pre-purchase GW2, would I get access to the next BWE along with the three-days early launch?
Note that I'm not talking about ordering online from their website but to actually go to the retail store and ask for a pre-purchase.

Changing Display Name
27 April 2012 - 06:39 AM
Whenever I try to change Display Name I keep getting an error that claims I've entered the wrong password when I've clearly entered the right one.
Any solutions?
