#2151964 GW2 crashes PC. getting desperate

Posted Rocky Balmoa on 27 January 2013 - 03:47 PM

I have been having the same problem from release. I have a Nvidia GTX470 that works well with graphical beasts such as Crysis, The Witcher 2, WoW :P. Just reduce the core clock 100 Mhz more or less with MSI Afterburner, you'll get worse performance but it's the inevitable trade-off. This worked for me, and I hope for you too.

YOU sir, are AWESOME!! :D

reducing the core clock worked like a charm, which got me into the game and allowed me to put the graphic settings to the lowest levels.

After that I was even able to put the core clock back to standard settings and mess around with in-game settings untill I got a decent quality-performance balance that doesn't crash my system!

Thank you so much!! Problem solved :)

I'm a real sucker for the t1 Norn, though I liked AC mantle and Named mask somewhat better <3

I'm glad they're deciding to improve existing features instead of just adding more stuff. Honestly, I don't know what they were trying to do with the November content update.

#2132410 The End of Bad Videos is Here!

Amazing. Truly, a video for the ages.

Can us mouthbreathers expect The Mighteous One to deign provide us with more wisdom in the future?

If'n you're lucky, son. The Mighteous One has put this video up to show mouthbreathers that all things are possible with the Ranger. Little kids are going to rush out and study the traits so they can TRY to decipher which ones I used in this video. Then the next video, if there is one, I'll be using a whole NOTHER set of traits and flip the whole world upside down again.

All of these people with their World of Warcraft mindset, and their Occupy Movement style work ethic have got you all confused on what life is all about. These guys spend more time TALKING about Rangers than they do playing them. That's why their videos are pure garbage. That's why they can't ever kill anybody. That's why all videos on YouTube (but mine of course) show you nothing but so called rangers shooting people in the back as they run away from them.

Or so called rangers as part of a zerg shooting people in the back as they run away from them.

Or so called rangers who do nothing but watch their PET play the game. BAHAHAHA!!!

The world is in need of Mighteous, and Mighteous has answered the call.

You're welcome.

#2139951 Guildcast Episode 57 - Not quite an expansion

Posted NuclearDonut on 10 January 2013 - 10:51 PM

Well they did definitely say it would be content almost equal to an expansion, like word for word. You can't just deny that, HOWEVER no one should have actually been expecting a free expansion, that's just ridiculous. I think most people are just expecting a whole bunch of littler stuff, kind of like what the Halloween/Wintersday events had. I do have one concern: by new region, do they mean new maps, or huge new areas that aren't even on the map? If they're not even gonna add another map, I don't see how it can be close to an expansion.

#2135317 Arenanet seems to think there is an LFG tool in game

Question? Never asked a question just was pointing out arenanet thinks game has a feature that didn't exist xD
But it does exist, making any discussion on 'Anet not knowing what is in their game' pretty pointless. I decided to place the post in Q&A so you would at least get your facts straight (and other people clicking on the link). It also wouldn't make much sense to leave it in TA, as there already was a thread on the LFG a few threads below this one.

If I missed something you'd wanted to discuss instead of what I mentioned, you can make a new thread on it if you want, but please have a look if there isn't already a thread on the subject.

Proper thinking during software production = no exploits such as this one. Simple as that.
