That dev should've kept his opinions to himself, and so should everyone else. No one should be made to feel bad because their choice of race in a fantasy video game is looked down on by someone else. It should be no surprise to anyone that human players like human characters, and there's nothing wrong with that. Whatever your racial preferences, just play what you like and keep quiet about other people's choices.
