In Topic: Distinct lack of Engineers in sPvP

I haven't played in ages, but I did log in a couple of weeks ago and noticed that even though in hot-join matches Engineers were a minority class, they were consistently some of the best players I went up against.

Prybar now gives five stacks of Confusion that lasts five seconds.

It's pretty much made Tool Kit a must-have.

Cool but how do you use the build?  On a 15 sec CD you can't just run around spamming Toolkit 3.  I'm trying to envision toolkit + roamer and I haven't come up with much except that you need Speedy Kits and Power Wrench.

Engis are arguably the best (mesmer might be equal/close second) roamers in wvw right now. The only thing you need is:

Prybar

Care to elaborate?  Link to build?

By the way, I ran with this might stacking build last night and was absolutely dominant.  I think I died 2-3 times in a handful of games and that was because I ended up getting downed by a mob.  Won two 2v1s and even held off a 3v1 until help could arrive.  Like I said earlier, love me some bomb kit with condition damage.

Afaik HGH condition damage elixir build with P/P is considered as the most capable build in PvP. In WvW some people use giver's weapons to boost their condition duration to 200%. I don't play it myself, so someone else might be able to give you more details about this build.

Some people also play sPvP with turrets which can do a good job defending a point.
Static Discharge power rifle build hasn't changed much.

For PvE I have read claims which say that HGH nades is the way to go.

The 100nades combo is basically dead, but it's skillset is still strong in my opinion. I'm running a condition based variation of it at the moment, actually everywhere (sPvP, WvW, PvE).

Most troublesome professions for me are other experienced engineers. They know our tricks ;)
Of course, thiefs which catch you off guard are still deadly and I always respect decent mesmers.

I'm into might stacking P/P...sounds right up my alley.  Anyone have a link to a build?  Here's what I came up with:

Obviously there are a few tweaks you can make (I actually love keeping a bomb kit around for thieves/mesmers) but is that the gist of it?  Esp. runes?

I don't play anymore but I dropped in to see what the big patch was all about.

That Kit Refinement nerf really hurts but I think you all will be OK.  I was most upset to see that Elixir Gun no longer creates a Super Elixir field...

Overall, adjust and carry on.  Seeing this update makes me want to return to the game...mostly because they finally added progression in WvW
