That is the only tip I can give. Sometimes the dig spots just bugs out a bit and you have to move around a bit. I have to use  shovel from 1-6 times sometimes even I know it is there it won't just show up on first dig. Hidden Dig spots are not needed for achievement.

Yes. This is good tip. Pick up the key from the right nearby waterfall next to first chest but don't use it on it. Use it on the second before second checkpoint chest. Two Dig spots gives 40 + 30 Baubles and the chest 20 Baubles. So that's 90 in total.

The one you get with the whip?  I've covered pretty much every inch of the platform in holes and none of them have revealed that bauble to me.  I've crammed my character as far as I can get him into that invisible wall, but no dice. Is anyone else suffering this?
Try it so your charachter is facing different ways. Sometimes you have to turn your charachter around the opposite way you came from before digging.
